This box is 15.8 inches long. It is 7 inches deep. The other measurement is the width from side to side. The seller is selling one box with one lid for this price.

Q: Does this product come with 6 bottoms and 6 tops

They are sold as a set, a bottom and one top. They are sold as one complete, single unit. I ordered eight single sets.

Q: So... how many complete boxes does one get for $26.64? They're ~$4-5 for each complete box in stores, and answers given thus far state 1,6, & 12 boxes

Q: Are these boxes a good size for storring books?

It would be better for the books to get boxes that are heavier and have flat bottoms, square corners and vertical sides; if you use these for books for any length of time, the book corners will bend and if you put them upright, they may warp from not being compressed vertically. Buy some good heavy and small cardboard file boxes that have openings for handles.
