Liquid is better
Not as effective as liquid. Four drop packets did not give same result as 1 qt of liquid. STAY WITH THE LIQUID...

Easy to Use
This product is easy to use. Because I am using this in a detention pond in attempts to slow the algae growth, water does work its way out. The black looks good on the pond but my personal preference is the blue as it has better eye appeal. A better review would come from someone with a true pond.

Junk
I have a 1/3 acre pond. I usually use the brand I get from tractor supply that has one packet in it and it works great. I wanted my pond darker so I bought this. Used both packets. Did NOTHING to change the color. Should have believed the negative reviews. Do not buy if you have a larger pond. Wish I could get my money back.

Easy to use!
Much better than the liquid pond dye. These packets dissolve and disperse quickly in the water.

Possible decline in concentration of Dye
I’ve been buying separate Black & Blue packets for years, then combining them to give me a dark blue tint in the water. I have about 1/5 acre of water. The tint usually works for months with (2) packets, this past time it barely even changed the tint of the water and I’m now (1 month later) adding 2 more packets. I’m hoping this is a hiccup and not a new dilution for the dye, if it is I will be looking for a new manufacture.

No mess, just throw it out there!
I really like the ease of use. I took one pack from the 2 packet set I ordered and threw it into our 1/3 a red pond. We have a circulating fountain so I threw it towards that. The dye really spread quickly. I am not sure if it lasts as long as the one in the bottle.

Didn't work
I put the recommended two packets in my 1/2 acre pond and it didn't change anything outside of the 10' raidus of where the packets landed. I think the product works but their dosage chart is far off. I would need 8 packs to change the color on my little pond.Luckily customer service made it right and refunded my order
