I have been using this on my dogs hair for over five years, he is a red heeler, and it’s still works great.

Do not use it on 220 with a step down. Mine fried about 20% into a clean up haircut.

Q: What is the shortest guard? I normally cut my hair down to 1/16th. How safe is it to use without the guard (risk cuts)?

The shortest guard is not short enough. I like to cut my beard down to about a 1/16th of an inch and their shortest, the #3, cuts to about 1/8. Cutting without the any guard was way too short. I'm just not into the three day beard look. I'm going to call Remmington to see if they have any shorter guards; if not I'm going to send it back. Glad I bought it through Amazon which makes it easy to send back.

Q: Is it dual voltage? i.e. 110v and 220v

No this is only for use in 110V and cannot be used with a converter.

DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT IN INDIA

The product got faulty in first use itself.As per ramington, this is 120V product and cant used in India. Now I am running from pillar to post to get my refund, which the seller and company has denied. FULL wastage of mobey and time. DONT BUY.
