Withstood near hurricane conditions
Plastic newspaper holder box can be ordered in BLACK. The plastic vinyl rain barier is still connected after 55mph winds. YES BUY THIS. Heavy rains keep newspaper dry.

Wind protection
We live is a high wind area. There have been several times the wind has pulled our paper out of the tube and sent it to parts unknown. So far this has worked to keep the paper in the delivery tube.

Covers the paper nicely from the wather
This was easy to install as it simply pushed on to the mailbox. The clear plastic door is attached with a couple of staples and didn't look sturdy so I drilled a couple of holes and secured it with a #6 bolts and Nylock nuts to make sure. It's a purchase I'd make again as the paper now stays dry despite our New England weather.

It's useless to me
Not at all what I expected which was not the sellers fault. That was me not understanding exactly what I was getting.I thought the plastic box was coming too. I didn't realize it was just the little door made out of rubber. It's useless to me.

Keeping the rain out
Bought this with a new newspaper tube. Too bad I couldn't fit the bracket on the pole for my mailbox so I installed tube on one of my garage posts and the flap is working great during this rainy, windy season.

Super
My brother complained this was inconvenient but after a few rain storms he's stopped complaining. A dry newspaper trumps the inconvenience of having to flip open the flap.
