Platinum at home
I started with dark brown hair and lightened my hair in stages at home, and after about 5 months, it was the perfect platinum! I love this hair dye

WORTHLESS, THROW IT AWAY
Absolutely worthless, I dye hair constantly so I know what I'm talking about, bought this once at Sally's, then made the accident of buying it here, IT'S USELESS, they try to be cute and mix white with the color, but unless you're super strong, and fortunate enough to get the entire thing in, it's just white creme, no color, it's a joke, a total waste of time, if you order this, same brown, it won't turn brown, it will stay white, you'll get pissed, wash it out, and get a real color.

Great hair color
I haven't dyed my hair in over 2 years and felt like I needed a little bit of change. My hair was a medium dirty-ish blonde and I wanted a bright, light cool blonde. I picked the Lightest Cool Blonde and I am so happy with it! It actually came out like I expected- a little bit lighter than my natural hair, and cooler to tone down the dirty blonde. I mixed in a packet of red/gold correcter to be safe, but I think there's still a bit of brassiness. Nothing I can't fix though. But honestly, this is the best I've had with hair color. I've only used box dyes and those never turn out. It wasn't a huge dramatic change but enough to make me like my hair color again! It didn't dry out my hair, and the creme mixed really nicely with the developer. It smelled a little bit when mixing, but when I was putting it on, I didn't really smell it at all. It also didn't burn, and I used the sensitive scalp developer. My skin got a little itchy if I got some color on it, but I have sensitive skin anyway and it was fine after I washed it off. All in all, I really like this product and I think I've found my new hair color!

Unfortunately underwhelmed.
I'm so sad.... I wanted to try my hand at home hair dyeing again because I'm getting poorer these days, and the salon gets to be too much. Haha.Followed instructions, applied to my blonde highlighted hair (natural color is light mousy brown) and thought it would take well since I was already a lighter color. Nope.In fairness, I did opt to mix with another color (I believe med red brown) because I was assuming it would be sooo bright on my blonde hair. But I was sadly mistaken. Somehow, I managed to get too much of a purple-y tint, and the color ended up patchy despite my heavy handed application. I left on for about 35 min, maybe but long enough? The final result is a pretty red roots situation, then fade to still nice reddish color, but then towards the ends like reddish tinted light brown/dark blonde. Just weird.2 stats because at least my hair doesn't feel like it's gonna fall out.

6R Dark Red Blonde is Gorgeous!
I've been trying to find a more natural red and the porosity in my hair was very uneven. After doing a lot of research, I chose Dark Red Blonde. I used this with a 20 volume developer and the Ion Pre Treatment Spray and my color came out wonderfully! It's EVEN and such a lovely shade. This is the red that you'll find in some the people in Scotland and Ireland. You won't look at this and immediately think 'oh, she colors her hair red'. I also used the Ion post treatment cuticle sealer and I really think that helped with conditioning as well. You will need to use a moisturizer after the sealer though - or at least I did.I had my hair trimmed today after coloring it last night and my stylist couldn't believe I had done it myself from a product that came from Sally's because he loved the color and the depth to it. Another bonus is that my roots did NOT come out hot. I think the pre-treatment spray helped with that as well.I'll most likely be buying it from Amazon in the future since it's so much easier than trekking to Sally's. I am very pleased with this product.

Did Not Work - Maybe Passed Expiration Date
I'm not sure if it was the color or the developer but this just didn't work. I have been coloring my hair for 30 years, doing the same thing by combining the developer with the color in applicator bottle and never have I had it simply not work. I tried three times, the third time showed a slight change, but not much at all. Perhaps this product has passed its expiration date. But I couldn't find a sale date on it anywhere.
