It's worth it
Amazing value for the price! The cords are a bit fragile, and adjusting the camera angle can be tricky, but the picture quality is better than most cameras I've seen on the market. It also comes with an app that allows for remote monitoring. I installed it in my business, and in my opinion, it’s worth every penny.

Nice nvr for the price with tons of features, but not good if you have very slow internet.
This is a non biased review.I received this in Very short time, product came very well packaged. This was very easy to setup and get cameras working with very little effort. This came with 8 dome cameras which are pretty good quality. Does have standard definition and high definition settings in software. Cables seem like good quality and durability. The overall size of the unit is equivalent to most new ones currently on the market the cables do have a water protection at the ends so they can be exposed to the elements without issues. It comes with a user Manual which I didn't read as I have setup dozens of systems and most are about the same. This will do multiple types of cameras from different manufacturers but you must verify compatibility with onvif.CamerasThe cameras are dome shaped and come with 6 screw holes, 3 for mounting and 3to hold the camera in place. They also come with a plastic piece that from what I can tell, that helps lock the cam in position. The camera housing is made of metal and seems very durable. The only negative comments with the cameras is that you must remove all three locking screws in order to mount it, they are small and can very easily get dropped. In addition, once the screws are removed, all the rest of the camera mounting can easily fall off when mounting the base plates. The camera adjustments are very limited. These dome cams are OK for large straight areas but not so much for placing on corners of buildings aiming towards walls. Bullet cams would be better. The dome cams would be great to pick up dead spaces between Bullet cams, depending upon cam placement.Base unitThe base unit has a small footprint and can be placed almost anywhere all connectors seem firm and do not feel cheap or flimsy.FirmwareThe Firmware seems OK, not too much to say in regards to itSoftware (android)The android software has alot of features in fact more than some other major players in the game. You can set each camera name directly from the app which is great for installation purposes. You can also adjust many settings directly from the app which makes it easier on the consumer. Masking is just OK at best. Swann has much better Masking. this just shows black areas on the cams and CAN be turned off through the app whis is convenient and problem at the same time.if there are multiple phones attached to the system that are administrators anyone of them can remove the privacy filters. not a complete deal breaker. Some of the other features are in line with most other cam software.InternetVERY IMPORTANTIf you have Poor or no internet I would suggest a cctv type system bot an nvr. My internet is sketchy and does glitch which causes cameras to drop off line at random, however when I had a very fast internet connection it worked flawless with no glitches or cameras dropping offline. My opinionAs having had this working for a few months now,I have noticed some good and some bad. First I like the software it has many things that others don't have. Bad thing is it can be glitchy and go offline if you have limited internet. Also I haven't been alerted when there is motion detection. But it might be a setting that i don't have turned on. I feel like for software, swann got it right as far as alerts and masking, but features there are alot in this software that are much better than most other companies. I can't honestly give a full 5 star review as there is always room for improvement. If this had a combination of cameras such as bullet, and dome this would be a great feature. As it is i will need to purchase a few bullet cams. If you are considering purchasing this and have fast internet I would recommend this. However if you're in an area with slow internet or internet that cuts out, I would suggest going with a cheaper cctv type system. If there is any specific information that you would like to know, please as a question.

Great buy
Affordable security camera solution for my RV. It is hard wired so no problem with WiFi.The cameras are “real time” with very good picture quality. Night vision is also very good. I use it for security as well as a driving assist on both sides of my RV and a rear view to see behind my tow vehicle while in motion. I am very pleased with this purchase.

It's what's under the hood that counts!
When checking out a new security system, the first thing I always do is open the NVR and take a look at what they put in it for a hard drive. I have good news and bad news on this front. The good news is that this does, in fact, have an actual NVR-style hard drive, AND the drive is fairly recently manufactured (Nov 2023). For the record, it's a Seagate Skyhawk. The bad news is, it's a Seagate Skyhawk LITE.Now, this isn't too terrible, as it is still a proper NVR hard drive, not just some random desktop drive. And it should be up to the task, as it says right on the drive "Up to 32 cameras". But that's not rated using 3k cameras. How well will it work with 4 3k cameras?Well, the Skyhawk Lite 2tb is rated for up to 180 mb/s. A 3k camera can put out generally between 10-15 mb/s.So, simple math here, figuring worst case 15 mb/s x 4 = 60mb/s. So it should be able to handle the 4 camera load pretty well, but adding some more cameras, especially 4k ones, might significantly tax the included drive. My advice? If you plan on adding more cameras, especially 4k cameras, definitely consider a hard drive upgrade first. Either a Seagate Skyhawk (regular), Western Digital Purple, or some other NVR drive with a higher write capacity. The rest of it is pretty good actually. The camera quality is good, as is the image quality they produce. The app is actually pretty decent as well. There is significant installation with a wired PoE camera system, so that's something to definitely be prepared for. There are lots of great DIY videos for home security installation procedures on YouTube, I suggest taking a look if you're unfamiliar. In all, this is a pretty decent security system for the money, well capable with good quality components. I gave it 4 stars.
