Hormann Supramatic Series 4 Garage Door Operator (Motor Unit Only)

Purchased as replacement for earlier garage door motor. It was supplied with good instructions of figment and useFitted and operated perfectly

I bought this to replace a 15 years old Supramatic E2. I was worried that it might not fit exactly but thankfully Hormann have made that easy. It takes longer to programme it than it does to swap the unit over. To swap over is nothing more than remove two bolts and unplug...a doddle really. I'm back up and running and really happy with the new unit.

My previous Hörmann unit gave up the ghost after 8 years of faultless service, so with the rest of the lifting system being in good working order, it was a no-brainer to fit the updated unit to the old k-boom. Bearing in mind that the door is >5 metres wide, it copes perfectly. I was even able to reprogramme the old remotes - so I now have five! The whole job took only a few minutes to fit - two bolts to remove the old unit, used again on the new one.

The actuator arrived on time and within half an hour the old model 3 was removed and the new model 4 fitted. I am so pleased I opted to purchase the actuator and fit it myself.My model 3 was within the guarantee date but the installer, without inspection just said the motor had gone and that was not covered. So much for guarantees.
