Panoramic Photo Way
I have always watched my dial to get the degrees of rotation for my panoramic photos and at night one has to use a flashlight to see the meter. With this instrument is so easy, accurate and best of all no guess work. Set it up and you cannot miss.

Inconsistent rotation stops and tensioning make this useless
The rotations stop tension does not work, you cannot set anything like consistent clicks for your 15 degree rotation points. Even tried taping down the adjusting clamps to make sure they were not twisting loose and it made no difference. Rotating can vary without warning from smooth to grinding, easy to difficult. After 4 months working with it on many panorama shoots it ended up in the trash.

Good but not perfect
I was torn between rating this a 3 or a 4. It's serviceable, and seems like a good value for the money (i.e., I decided to keep it). However, it does have a slight bit of play form side to side (the camera can move if you don't lock it down). I contacted the seller who was quick to respond, but it seems that this is just characteristic of this product.

What a great tool and nice price. Fantastic quality and smooth fluid head action. The adjustable detent's work nice and the options to add clamps or mounting hardware make it very versatile.
