Keep an eye out for fakes, take it to a boutique or watch some videos on how to tell the fakes. This pen is great, but for the cost I prefer the different star walkers, like the rubber and metal one. The black precious resin does show wear relatively quickly unless you keep the pen in a case.

cap would not tighten after 6 months. Wife took to Mont Blanc boutique in Houston galleria for repair. They said it was a fake.

I received this fineliner / rollerball pen as a gift. It's a beautiful and elegant pen. I prefer this rollerball system over the ballpoint because the writing is so soft and fluid, however you will have to deal with a shorter life of the cartridges. It's not like I'm writing a book so for me is not a big deal

Wanted a Mont Blanc all my life. Received one as a gift. Very soon thereafter, the cap came apart. Called the company (not Amazon which has much better customer service) and was told to send it for inspection. They charged me 95.00 to repair the cap and now about once a month, the cap gets stuck on the body and needs serious attention to get it apart. I've called customer service raising this issue and received no response. This from a company that promotes itself as high quality products, etc. I'd never buy another Mont Blanc nor recommend their products to anyone.

I purchased my pen from an authorized dealer. The molded plastic to twist on the cap broke when I was putting on the cap. I sent the pen to Mont Blanc for a repair and they required $115 to correct the issue. The pen was less than 1 year old. They told me the issue was caused by my over turning the cap. I am not sure how they determined this. I never had an issue with other pens or any other items that require twist on caps. I will not purchase a Mont Blanc pen again. Very disappointed in my experience with the pen and their customer service.
