Fantastic Soundbar
A quick word of advice before unboxing the soundbar, download the Sonos App first. I downloaded it onto my iPad and the setup was quick and easy. The quality of the sound from the Sonos is fantastic and greatly enhances the TV experience. I had a JBL unit previously and while solid, it simply wasn't as strong as the Sonos. My only criticism is the Sonos app, which isn't very intuitive to use. And since there is no remote included with the soundbar the app is your only option.

A marvelous soundbar.
Flawless sound, easy set up. A perfect choice for anyone looking to add richer sound to their Television. I paired mine with two Sonos Ones to create surround sound and it could not have been any easier or more convenient. They all connect via Bluetooth so there were no speaker wires to hide. The quality and complexity of the sound is startling at first. Dialogue, music and sound effects in movies and video games is richer, clearer and a joy to hear. The app allows quick and easy access to your music apps (I use Spotify) as well, so this product doubles as a fantastic stereo system. It even comes with a nighttime mode that raises lower sounds and softens louder noises so I can enjoy the full surround sound experience even after the kids have gone to bed. 10/10 could not recommend enough.

WOW!!!
I have several Sonos speakers already (a couple Play:1's, a couple Ones, and a One SL) so when we decided to get a sound bar to go along with a new TV we were purchasing, I already knew that it would be a Sonos because we're so invested in that ecosystem. I checked out a Sonos display at a local store and compared the sound from the Beam and the Playbar...the Playbar definitely had stronger, richer sound. But for me, it wasn't a big enough difference to justify the large price jump. So I decided the Beam would be good enough for us (especially since we were upgrading from 10 year old TV speakers).Getting it set up was as simple as could be...I plugged in the power, plugged it into ethernet, connected it to the TV via the HDMI-ARC port and then went through the Sonos setup in the iPhone app. I was done with the whole thing in just a couple minutes. And WOW! Our family room isn't giant by any means, but it's not tiny either (it's also kind of an odd shape). The Beam absolutely fills the room with sound and I'm amazed that such a small device can produce sound that seems to come from all directions. I love that it's got a setting where it can be grouped with the other speakers and play music, but as soon as I start using the TV it automatically leaves that group and plays the sound from the TV instead (you can turn this off if this isn't the desired behavior). I wasn't interested in using it with any of the voice assistants, so I can't comment on that. And I don't know if it's the TV doing it or the Sonos, but it's pretty slick that I can adjust the volume from my phone, from the Apple TV remote or from the TV remote itself. Sonos has always felt like such a premium product and the Beam is no different.Totally happy with this thing!

Perfect into a Sonos ecosystem
I have Sonos speakers in most rooms at home. I had a separate sound bar with my TVs (living room and kitchen). The Beam seemed like a nice upgrade at a reasonable value to complete the Sonos set up at home. My living room is now on a Beam + 2x play 1 on surround set up and my kitchen on Beam + 1 play 3 synced. The upgrade is absolutely worth the money (great sound, easy to set up, modular, etc). When watching sports games, having the sound of TV in all rooms of the house is quiet an experience :D.I would not be bullish recommending the Beam as a standalone purchase outside of a Sonos ecosystem. I think some alternative are worth considering in this case.

Phenomenal deep, rich sound and versatility
I’ve purchased three Sonos products: a Play 1, Play 3, and now a Beam. I ended up replacing the Play 1 with a Play 3 because it didn’t sound good enough for the price I paid when I could get a Play 3 for $100 dollars more. I’ve been running the Play 3 paired to an Amazon Echo so I could voice control it. The Play 3 was awesome but lacked the ability to airplay with my iPhone, which isn’t critical but is really convenient. I needed a sound bar for my TV and didn’t want to pay $600 for the Playbar which seemed too expensive for the lack of features I wanted, so when I heard that Sonos was releasing a new sound bar with AirPlay and Alexa built in I was psyched. I finished setting up my new Beam about an hour ago and have tried it with movies, TV shows, PlayStation 4 games and of course music. I have to say that it sounds phenomenal! It has a bigger sound than my Play 3 but the fact that it plugs into my TV and has built in Alexa control means that it can replace multiple devices in my house. One great thing is that I no longer have to say “Alexa, do X on Sonos” but can just say “Alexa, do X”. It’s a small thing but one I appreciate. If you get the beam, note that you need to pair your TV remote with the beam afterwards. Just go into the Sonos app settings, click the room you have the Beam in, and sync with the remote. It takes all of 10 seconds and couldn’t be easier but it took me a little while to figure out that I needed to do this in order to use my TV remote to control the TV volume like usual. Hopefully this will save you a little time as well!
