Nice reasonably priced drawing board
I spent may years working on a similar board, and wanted one for use at home. This is a nice board for that purpose. I like having the carrying handle for moving the board from table to table. I've read the reviews about the slide not staying parallel. If you read the instructions that come with the board it is clear as to what needs to be tightened to keep the slide aligned properly. Once done you shouldn't have to do the adjustment again if the board is used properly.

It’s sturdy
The parellel bar doesn’t seem to stay in place. I was able to do some assignments for drafting class because of it but had to constantly make sure the center piece was center whenever I moved the parallel bar. I had initially ordered a used one but the bar was faulty but they send me another one and kept it.

What I needed
I'm a design student and use this drafting board every day. A bit overpriced, I found the same board a bit cheaper but needed it immediately so had to go with who could ship faster. All in all, I like the features and sturdiness of the product.

Built well, adjusting straight edge is accurate. Ledge for pencils would have been a nice feature.

A well made board with light-duty hardware
A well made board with light-duty hardware for the parallel bar. I expected something more akin to the Alvin Paral-Liner Parallel Straightedge. But that is just silly of me. I didn't want to spent the $$ for the real thing, so I got this. It'll do for the small amount of drafting I do. When/if the components break or wear out, I'll just get a T-square to use with this bullet proof board.
