I was looking for an airsoft Texas Star target the other daaaaaay. Found this. This is an awesome airsoft plinking target!Works as intended. Well built. Great price (have seen it at $50-$125 on airsoft sites). I love it.Plates and frame is solid. Easily holding up to my AEG that is pushing 450 fps... just because why not try to destroy it the first day. Pistol at 360 fps is child's play for the target.Magnetic fixation is beautiful. Holds tight. Purposely hit Target at mid-arm and where tab of target plate affixes on the magnet. Plate stayed on. Hit it on the plate itself, off the plate drops.Target spins freely. No binding. Knock any plate off except the one at 12 o'clock and Target starts to dance smoothly.I have the remnants of a much larger airsoft Texas Star by BAM Airsoft that was glorious for both airsoft rifles and pistols. Loved that thing. Somehow in my divorce, the 5 metal plates got lost. I've looked for years for replacement plates or at least a template of the plates to make a new set. Failed all around. BAM Airsoft went out of business overnight in the early-mid 2010, despite their brilliant products. (If any has one of their Texas Stars and willing to trace me a template of the plates, I'd be forever grateful.) Anyhow. This is a smaller, awesome replacement.Only minor grumble is the how the arm and the base of the stand connect. It's a tiny bit fussy in that it's a tight spot the two screws go in. The nuts seem to be some pot metal and even proper spanners don't seem to fit well and end up rounding the nuts. Included spanners didn't seem to fit the nuts at all. Figured this out pretty quick. Ended up using a set of pliers to hold the nut, while tightening the Allen bolts. Easy enough fix. Slight frustration. If half stars were option, would give a 4.5, but product is much closer to a 5 than a 4, so gets an easy 5.Would definitely recommend for any airsoft enthusiast that wants a challenging kinetic target to plink.Hope this review is helpful. Sturdy, well made, well balanced. Easy to assemble except one point that is difficult if your fingers aren't tiny. Spinner bearing is free spinning with no out of balance issues, and reacts same way as expensive larger gun targets. Easy to reinstall magnetic targets quickly, after shooting. Comes with all tools needed to assemble, though socket wrench makes it easier. I recommend the larger version... 16 inches seems just a tad small, as on the small version.

The target paddles are not rated for 350+ fps Steel .177 BB's, and will be dented when shot. The tools provided are not made of high quality metal, and tend to round out during installation. The magnets glued to the arms are sometimes not the strongest, or fall off, or were simply not installed. That said, for how cheap it is it works alright. The size of this one is perfect. I can use it to practice hand gun, AR, or sniper rifle shots (Airsoft) closer or far. It begins to rotate when you shoot the first one, and having a moving target is a fun challenge. The magnet strength seems to be just right, and the frame is reasonably durable. I expect to use this for many years.

Works great for BB gun, or orby gun. Perfectly challenging for a beginner and experienced shooter alike.

This does not hold up well to .177 pellets. The first time I shot it with my .177 air rifle it put a noticeable dent in the target. Also, the impact knocked all the targets off the magnets. The magnets are not strong enough.I made some modifications, changed out the magnets with strong rare earth magnets and welded some thicker steel plates to the targets. Now it works fine.The price is great and it is a lot of fun. Not sure how long it will hold up to use, probably not long. I’m not sure if I would buy again though.
