NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 (24x8) DOCSIS 3.0 WiFi Cable Modem Router Combo (C7000) for Xfinity from Comcast, Spectrum, Cox, more (Renewed)

i have had my nitehawk for about a month now and i freaking love it. It's fast, really fast, reliable haven't had a ounce of trouble, wish my cable provider was the same lol. Word to the wise make sure to get the fiber cable, I purchased the extreme bundle from my cable provider and regular ethernet cords don't cut the mustard. This is the only way to get the as advertised speeds.

Since setting up this device, my network has been slow or dropping offline randomly several times per day. The reason for this is due to DOS attacks since installing it. The logs are full of DOS attacks and each one logged is at the same time my network slows (Teardrop attacks) or router reboots (ping of death attacks).This is even with DOS protection enabled. It appears from a few web searches related to this device, it's a common enough problem. It's not as noticeable during low traffic times but when my kids and partner are also using the internet it becomes unusable. You should check the logs in the advanced/Admin section of the device if you are noticing drops and slow downs.

Compatible with Xfinity and very easy to install. Xfinity charges $13 a month for this!

We pay for 400 MBPS min download from Comcast (Xfinity). wifi out of this modem router combo maxes out at 190 something mb - very disappointed. Have technician coming out this weekend to test and verify. Will update. How the heck can this have such good ratings?Update .. Ended up ordering other brand, returned this refurbished unit with no issues. Must of been a dud.

Very dissatisfied with this renewed modem. Stated it would function. Did not connect to my new cable service, even though was compatible. The only positive is the price but not if it fails.
