Straight figured girls rejoice! Update: A year later...
Thoughts on size/fit:I literally read hundreds of reviews (obsessed, I know) to find the best fit for my straight figure. According to the size chart for these snow pants I would need an XL in the waist and a M in the hip. I decided to order the L and hope for the best. Well, they fit great! They are slightly big, but I can easily wear a belt and can also fit leggings under them on especially cold days. They don't cut into my stomach when bending down which would be so uncomfortable when putting on my snowshoes or XC skis or picking up after my dogs.Thoughts on the actual snowpants:First of all, I'm a black, gray, neutral kind of gal, when it comes to clothing. I decided to order the plum pants and am so pleased! Cute color and goes well with my plain, dark jackets. The pants themselves feel stretchy and comfy. I got them today, immediately put them on and took my dogs for a walk in about 30 degree temperatures for about 30 minutes. The snow that gathered at the bottom of the pants skimmed off and didn't soak in at all. The pockets are fleeced lined and deep. I felt warm and also stylish compared to the big, bulky, snow pants I wore in the past. Since I just received these, I can't comment on durability.I highly recommend these if your shape is more straight than hourglass.Update: I have worn these snow pants for one full winter and they have held up well. I mostly walk in them, so nothing too strenuous. For size reference: I am 5'6" tall and weigh 165 or so. I bought the large size and they fit nicely with room for layering. I still recommend them!

Still love them!
I actually love these ski pants. They are so comfortable and stretchy - and the color is amazing!! I wore them for a ski trip in Colorado and they were super warm. The only Con for me was the waist as others have mentioned - it is huge and there is no adjustment for it. I ordered a small (5'4" 125lbs) they fit well in the butt and legs but the waist was huge - I ordered an xsmall as well an the waist was too tight. I ended up keeping the small and I purchased a belt which worked pretty well. I still love them.

How cute are these!?
The media could not be loaded. For $60!! Run don’t walk to snag a pair. I’m 5’7 about 160 pretty curvy on the bottom and these are large. They fit just right. I do have leggings under them so I think they’re just a tad tight on my thighs but the fabric is very stretchy and comfortable. I probably won’t actually wear them with leggings skiing it’s really cold they’re really really well-made. super Duper soft. I have the north face pair that I think these are dupes for and I prefer these to those and I believe they were $170. I bought and returned several pairs of pants upwards of $270 and these I’m keeping!

Sizing is way off
These pants are really nice and I would have been very happy with the quality if the sizing was not so far off. For reference I am 5’ 7” tall and about 125 lbs. My waist is about 25”. I normally wear an XS or S depending on the brand. The legs of these pants fit my thighs perfectly and the hips were also ok, but the waist was absolutely massive. I would say the waist would probably be more accurately described as a medium or even a large. There was at least 4 inches of extra room.

Best cold weather pants I own!
I needed a pair of pants that would work for cold, rainy hikes and wouldn’t be super heavy. First of all, the sizing on Arctix can be a little funny. My waist is 27, hips 35, inseam 29-30. The small short fits me well with some room in the waist area and enough room to put a pair of fleece leggings underneath, if needed. These aren’t adjustable like the Arctix snow pants but have belt loops- so a basic canvas belt would work well. I thought I would have to have a belt, but they stayed up fine without me having to tug at them. I think the xs short would work as well, but I like them a little looser. Second, warmth and waterproof: I’ve worn them in 30 degree rainy weather and stayed warm and dry without an extra layer. These have a super soft flannel layer that is just cuddly. They don’t make the noise that the Arctix ski pants do when you walk, and they, certainly, aren’t as thick. Worn in the rain, the water just beads up and doesn’t soak in. This could be different if you are super soaked, but they worked well for me. They have gators with elastic that can cover your boots to avoid any splashing or snow. I got the black and all of the Arctix logos were also in black. The hand pockets are on each side and are big enough for my phone. If it’s cold enough, I may just wear them to work. They can be dressed up a little with the right top or sweater. I hope this review helps someone. I really love these.

Return/Refund/Replacement process - not acceptable, product okay
I ordered a size that I thought should work based on size chart, but these run small. I had to go a size up. I did a return/replace and the cost of the new pair was less than original price paid. Amazon DID NOT REFUND OR CREDIT my account the balance. They did a swap of products. Lesson learned. Future orders, I'm doing a full return then a separate reorder myself. I can not find help online to get my $11 balance to my account. The one-star is for attention and sizing.
