Outstanding buy.
Just got my new grips. Delivery was right on time. The grips are beautiful and no defects, they in stalled easily and fit perfectly on my RIA 1911- A1 45acp,( I have the GI model). They feel great and add a true military issued weapon look to the gun!(I want my gun as close as possible to the one I carried in the Navy). I can't wait to go to the range and try them out. Excellent value and price! If are looking to replace the grips on you gun take a look at these, you won't be sorry.

Good looking and functional
Original grips were from that era in the 70's that shrunk so bad they not longer would fit on the bushings. Not a OER replacement but better than originals for everyone but collectors.

Nice, but lacking
These grips were a great upgrade from the plain wood slabs that came on my 1911, love the feel, easy to install, look amazing. You get that medallion that looks great without putting a medallion of another manufacturer on your 1911. However, the medallions fallout pretty easily, I was able to track one and put it back in using super glue, but the other one I missed and now I have one slab with a blank hole with no medallion, it bothers me enough to look for different grips. (I couldn't find replacement medallions, if I could I would definitely keep these grips. I REALLY liked them). RIA 1911 GI FS

Great grips for a great price
Great grips for a great price! I put these on my Rock Island Armory 1911 M1A1 due to the stock grips being too wide and not that visually appealing. These grips will turn any 1911 into a classy and historic looking firearm. The laser cut checkering provides a great feel while the pachmayr medallions look plain badass. I would highly recommend this item to someone looking to replace their 1911 grips for a more traditional and upscale look!

Very nice style
Had to file a notch on both sides to accommodate ambidextrous safety on my Citadel. Maybe just left side on standard RIA 1911'S. Material is called laminated wood, seems to be a phenolic type of material. Which seems alot more dense and durable than natural wood. Beautiful reddish dark brown color.
