They are not. But I waterproof mine and walk around in some wet mucky conditions and they haven't let me down.

To a certain point yes. I don't think you can hang out in a lake with them. I have not tried that though. I have worked around a lot of water, and in the rain, and have not had a problem.

Q: Is the carhardtt square toe mud boot true to size?

I just got mine. I usually wear US14 and these fit too loose. Ordered 14 wide because I usually stretch my boots on the sides. I would have to wear extra thick socks in these boots. Length-wise they seem fine but much too loose at my heel.
