Pettibon System Cervical Neck Traction Device for TMJ Relief- Over The Door Neck Stretcher

I really like this cervical stretch unit. Easily hangs over the door although I do secure the back of it with duct tape. Really gives your neck a good stretch also mid shoulders and lower back. Amazing how it works and keeps discs, flexible and hydrated.

I have been using this traction unit for a couple years now. It is amazing! I was having to go to the chiropractor 2 to 3 times a week. My pain doctor wanted to prescribe me a cervical traction unit for my neck problems. It cost 400.00 and the insurance didn't cover any of the costs. I researched cervical traction units and watched several YouTube videos. Pettibon Systems have some great videos out there. Check them out! When you learn to relax with this traction, it will stretch your whole spine not just the cervical area. Combining this with Trigger point and the Thera-cain, I have relieved many a migraine and even stopped some from becoming full blown. I highly recommend this, but do feel that trigger point along with this is best. This unit will scratch your door after much use, but that is nothing compared to the relief I receive. Tug on it after installing before you use it, because it can fall down if not securely hung. I have 2 herniated discs and degeneration in cervical spine. Much of the time, pain is unbearable, this is worth learning how to use, and using it consistently so you can get relief in headaches and neck pain, as well as a great spinal stretch. Gravity sucks! It has been 7 months now since I have been to the Chiropractor. It is not that I don't want to go to him, but I was able to take an extended vistit with family on the other side of the states. This unit, with the Trigger point therapy I learned at PT, has made a tremendous difference in my life.

This works great for my neck pain. I've tried a brace and the accordion air pump, but they fell short. My C7 disc stuck out, it was painful, but after using this, my disc went back in place, the pain disappeared and I can move my neck without pain. This is such a relief. I was using the traction machine in PT, but now I am using this apparatus every day for a few minutes and it works. I'm very relieved I found something that is this good.

My chiropractor has something like this is his office. When I was seeing him twice a week I looked forward to using this thing. I can’t believe I found one on Amazon!! I use it once a day, sometimes two depending on how I feel. I do not have TMJ. I just have a messed up neck and c spine. But not anymore thanks to my amazing chiropractor and this device.

As well as scoliosis and arthritis in my spine, so being able to stretch my neck and upper back gently at home has made chiropractic care easier when I go. The position of the head cushion is very helpful. I live this

I can see how it may work for some people. It does what it's suppose to do and hangs over the door. However it is very easy to get the posture incorrectly, and the videos all seem to cary for the instruction. Even if there was one single correct one to follow, i don't think it's safe to do by yourself. I am pretty well versed in human anatomy and physiology, yet if you have cervical degeneration, there's too much variability for this product to lead you to a wrong posture. Unless your cervical spine issue is very minor in its nature, I would not buy this.

My daughter told me about this. I have been using another kind for decades but that one takes longer to set up. This one is an easy one, just hang on door, and works as well as the other one. But since I am a creative type of person, I hang it differently than the instruction calls for. Using a chin-up-bar hanging on a door, hang this on one of the handle of the chin-up-bar for an easy set up. I have a good balance so with this set up, I feel safe enough using one of knees and an elbow against door frame to keep balance as needed.
