Absolute best! Now I can clip SOIC8 chips in 2 seconds
This Pomona SOIC8 clip is the best investment one cans make for the CH341A programmer. Now I no longer have to go through the hassle of spending 2 minutes to get the CH341A's bundled clip to finally stick to the BIOS chip. I could only use the CH341A's default SOIC8 clip 5 times anyway. This one (Pomona) will also require Depont female-to-female wires, and make sure to avoid throwing away the adapter board of your old SOIC8 clip. You will need it to plug into it the Dupont wires. And also, pinouts for SOIC8 on the Pomona aren't at the same positions when using the old CH341A clip's adapter board. See the attached picture for full explanation on how to use a Pomona clip with the CH341A programmer.I hope it helps, and anyway, it's simply the best clip ever. Rock-solid quality.

Works well actually holds onto the chip and consistent connections to board
Many of the people coming here to look at these will be skeptical about these but i have to say after replacing the included soic clip from the ch134a programmer with this one i had no issues with getting consistent connections and the clip wont wear out after two uses (original clip wouldnt even stay on the chip after the second use as it had become too worn out)Moral of the story if youre looking for a replacement clip that will consistently work and you know how to solder this will work great for many uses as long as it is used properly

Not as advertised definitely not a Pomona clip.
Beware the clip i received was not at all a Pomona clip! It was the same junky clip that comes with the programmer device! Black ugly and weak just like the other clip. Heads up!

A clip that can be reused?! No way
Like many others, I picked up a CH341A and got roughly 2.5 uses out of the cheap soft-plastic nonsense of a clip that was included with it. I went online and saw tons of recommendations for the Pomona 5250, so I picked one up after hesitating about the price for a bit.Totally worth it. I've clipped at least 100 times now, and it's somehow still able to clip without fighting with it. It is finally starting to show some wear, but it's roughly how the cheap clip would be if you looked at it the wrong way, but it still works great. If my clip eventually wears out, I only hope I can find another for sale, even if it costs more than all the CH341A kits around, because it's worth it.Look at the price of the Pomona 5250 + CH341A flasher as a bundle together. Without the sturdy clip, the flasher is kinda pointless. Plus for the price, it's nice being able to use the flasher more than twice. Honestly a must-have. "You get what you pay for" definitely applies.

It actually works!
I ordered a Ch341a kit off Amazon and the clip that was included refused to clip onto my bios chip. I ordered one of these and clipped first try! I paired it up with DuPont connector wires and worked perfectly. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a bios clip that actually works.

A must have flash chip clip.
When using the CH341 series USB programmer module you will need the Pomona 8 pin chip clip for the SPI NOR flash. The supplied clip will work with patience but the Pomona clip is superior.

Did not work
This feels just as cheap as the one that was included with the kit I have but marked up 4x and it didn't even work.

Works perfectly
Was able to reprogram a flash chip without issue. Clip grabbed and held right onto the IC without much dink'ing around. Recommendation for use: connect the leads to the clip before installing on the chip.
