Product Description Loud-mouthed. Obnoxious. More vulgar than ever. We wouldn't have them any other way. Make room on the couch for Married With Children: The Complete Fourth Season, another hilarious helping of demented domestic dysfunction as only as the comically crude Bundys can deliver. Loaded with 23 envelope-pushing episodes on a three-disc collector's set, this deluxe collector's edition features uproarious classics like "Hot Off the Grill," "Dead Men Don't Do Aerobics," and special two-parter "It's A Bundyful Life," as Al, Peg, Kelly and Bud manage to turn domestic bliss into a battlefield, while nosy neighbor Steve finally leaves Marcy and the 'burbs for good! Starring Katey Sagal ("8 Simple Rules"), Christina Applegate (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy), and Ed O'Neill (Spartan) and sexy guest stars like Traci Lords, Tiffany Amber Thiessen, and Ted McGinley, Married With Children: The Complete Fourth Season reminds us why those darn Bundys are too hot to handle after all these years! .com It's fitting that the producers of Married...With Children--The Complete Fourth Season were too cheap to pay for the rights to the show's classic theme song, the jaunty Sinatra tune "Love & Marriage," replacing it with some crappy instrumental. Not because the season is lousy--on the contrary, the show's crass and cynical wit is in full bloom--but because if the Bundys themselves were putting this out, they'd blow off the theme song as well. One of the longest-running sitcoms ever, Married...With Children portrayed American domestic life as bitter, sleazy, and perpetually hungry, yet bound together by the loyalty of the mutually damned. Emasculated shoe salesman Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill, Dutch, Spartan), his lazy and unsatisfied wife Peg (Katey Sagal, 8 Simple Rules), his dimwitted slut of a daughter Kelly (Christina Applegate, Anchorman, View from the Top), and his horny, conniving son Bud (David Faustino, The Trouble with Frank) all bicker and scheme to achieve any meager improvement of their lives. For example, Peg wants to buy an idol of Tubro, the fat Panamanian god of money, hoping that good luck will help her win the lottery; so she sells Al's beloved Playboy collection, launching Al into the depths of despair until he musters the shreds of his manhood and orders her to retrieve them. Or when Al, feeling suicidal on Christmas, gets a glimpse of how happy his family would be if he'd never been born and decides to live to keep their lives as awful as his has been. But it's not simply the parade of suburban atrocity that makes the show funny--it's the zest of the cast, who wallow in their white trash characters with gusto and commitment. Their glee gives the show a sardonic bite that transforms the squalor into something strangely giddy and transcendent, a vivisection of human pettiness that an 18th century novelist like Thackeray would appreciate. The fourth season features a startling array of guest stars, including Milla Jovovich (The Fifth Element), Joe Flaherty (SCTV), Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (Beverly Hills 90210), screaming comedian Sam Kinison, and former porn starlet Traci Lords. --Bret Fetzer

SEASON 4 ROCKS!
This 1989-90 Season of the Bundy's is awesome and is even better than the first 3 seasons of this show, despite the unfortunate fact that this is the season when Marcy's husband Steve Rhoades(David Garrison) departs from the show in the Winter of 1990.I liked seeing Tiffany-Amber Thiessen on MARRIED WITH CHILDREN before her SAVED BY THE BELL days and BEVERLY HILLS 90210 days, since they showed Tiffany Amber Thiessen as a guest star before she was even famous along with the fact that nobody knew that Tiffany-Amber Thiessen was going to become a co-star on SAVED BY THE BELL and BEVERLY HILLS 90210 when she guest starred on MARRIED WITH CHILDREN as Bud's prom date(Heather McCoy). Therefore, seeing Tiffany-Amber Thiessen on MARRIED WITH CHILDREN was almost like seeing some casts colliding between SAVED BY THE BELL and MARRIED WITH CHILDREN, since seeing Kelly next to Heather McCoy on the Bundys was almost like watching the casts colide between Kelly Bundy(Christina Applegate) and Kelly Kopowski(Tiffani-Amber Thiessen) along with the fact that Christina Applegate was the hottest and best looking co-star on MARRIED WITH CHILDREN and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen was the hottest and best looking co-star on SAVED BY THE BELL.I also liked the episode when Al(Edward O'Neill) fantasizes about himself being a James Bond type character hero in the episode when Al, Kelly, and Bud go to Las Vegas to track down Peggy(Kate Sagal) and Marcy(Amanda Bearse) after they get stranded there after going broke from nutso gambling while Marcy tries to get over her divorce from Steve, which reminds me of my teenage days of living in the Imperial Valley since I was a Junior in high school in my hometown(El Centro, CA)at the time when this season was running on Fox.By the way I just got word that the Bundy's 11th Season is now in the works and is scheduled to be released this Fall on October 13th, 2009 and I can hardly wait either since the 1996-97 Season was the last and final season of the Bundy's on top of that.

Hysterical
Wanna laugh during the holidays? This CD set does the trick. Besides other episodes the real reason I purchased was because I wanted the Christmas episode with Sam Kinison which is in 2 parts. We are big fans from way back and to find this available was our Christmas present to us and the family. Lots of laughs.

Brilliance
Often accused of being low-brow, I would like to point out that this show does have its moments of pathos. A brilliant sit-com (and along with South Park, my very favourite TV comedy series), in my opinion the very best ever, I hope they release them all. I think the fourth season might very well be my favourite - a great many classic episodes here, I just hope they stick the Earth Day special on as well for completeness' sake. The cast is note perfect, but alas this was to be the final series with the brilliant David Garrison full time, I missed his presence in later seasons. I adored the whole cast but especially Ed O'Neill and Christina Applegate, the only celebrity I ever had a real crush on. I always thought they displayed such incredible personality in their roles. Long live the Bundys!

Its A Bundyful Life!
This season contains what is arguably the best Christmas show of all time, "Its a Bundyful Life" with Sam Kinison. That alone is worth the cost of the dvds. Go Jablonski!

Great season, but the DVDs could have been better
Ah yes, now we're finally getting to the episodes where Married With Children became hilarious. That's not to say that the first three seasons weren't, but it was the fourth season that the show went from great to exceptional. Every episode in this season is a classic, like the episode where Al starts his own shoe hotline, or the one where he tries to buy a new car, but fails when he finds out Peggy stole most of the money he had been hiding. In my mind, this season is truly some of the all-time best that TV has ever had to offer. The problem lies in the actual DVD releases. As I'm sure most of you know, there are seven syndicated episodes found in this boxset. While it may not be the end of the world to miss a minute or so of those episodes, it definitely feels like the people involved in this were too lazy to do the necessary work to get the full versions of these seven episodes. They offered an explanation to the problem, but I honestly feel that they were being lazy and/or cheap. Plus the original theme music is once again missing. I usually fast foward through it anyway, but the new theme music leaves much to be desired. To top it all off, there is literally no bonus features on this set.I can only hope that all future box sets will include ALL uncut episodes, and that one day they will re-release this boxset with the 7 episodes fixed and totally uncut. It's only fair to the show and to the fans. I also hope that they work on getting the original Frank Sinatra theme music back, but this isn't as important. All in all, I'm thrilled that Married With Children is finally available on DVD, but I really hope that the studios put more time and effort into these boxsets in the future. I'm sure all the fans can agree that the show is worth the extra work.

They really need to start pushing these out faster
Married With children is my favorite show of all time, and gosh... it seems like years go by for me until finally they release another season... Even if has only been a few months.Anyways I've been vary vary disapointed with them in the extra's department. Last season's should have been a given and gave us the alternate ending to "Peggy Loves Al Yeah Yeah Yeah"and this time I wanna see those specials that supossedly aired in the 4th season. but I doubt we will... Some sorta earth day special and I think there was another one.
