Cheap price + cheap casing + no short term performance issues = SSD win
Works perfectly for my fairly low productivity(gaming/research) needs. I have had no issues or failures on either after using them for a year.I used two of these to make my PC dual boot Microsoft/Linux. I use a Samsung 850 SSD for Windows gaming and two Kingston for a pair of Linux OSs I use for work. The performance difference between the two hard drives isn't enough to prevent the Linux distros from booting faster, so I assume the performance differential between Sata 3 SSDs would be relatively unnoticeable in everyday use.Their low quality case manufacturing makes them quite ugly in person, but I put two of them in a tandem "Internal Hard Disk Drive Mounting", and those just look so good in your PC's internals that it doesn't really matter. My motherboard does not support NVME, otherwise I likely would not have bothered with Sata 3. This is a really cheap HD that I am only fine with using until my next big upgrade.

Works as advertised. My reboot times and general loading times are SO MUCH FASTER now. If you're still on a standard HDD. Get yourself an SSD.Biggest Pro: (Only in the 'Upgrade Bundle Kit' version) They include an external case with a usb cable on it. So you can plug the ssd into the case, and basically use it like a giant thumb drive. Picture attached. (I put my old ssd in the case, so I have a nice big portable usb drive now.) It also came with spare cables that could be needed if you're installing on a standard pc motherboard.)Pro: Install process followed the standard ssd install, no weird quirks or anything. Just google your computer or laptop model with "how to replace ssd in my <blah>", you'll find a video that will teach you how to do it.Pro: I like the little kingston logo, the face. I told my kids that we have to put this person inside our computers to make them work. They ate it up.Maybe a con: It was shipped in a floppy manilla envelope... not exactly how I'd want my precious hard drive to be shipped. But I'm not deducting any points against it because the drives are apparently durable enough to have not been damaged at all. And if they were damaged, I could have just sent them back to Amazon.

Well done, Kingston!
I am dazzled by the speed, energy efficiency, reliability and low cost of solid state drives. They have been an unexpected delight. I used the current purchase to update a relatively old computer, and the improvement in time required to finish tasks is impressive. The only tricky part of this component installation was transferring information from a larger drive to a smaller drive. I used Acronis True Image Home to back up the (C:) partition, Recovery partition and EFI partition from the old C drive, and this information eventually filled about one-third of the new 120 GB SSD. I disconnected the old hard disk drive, re-booted the computer into the Acronis Rescue Environment using a previously-prepared CD-ROM and restored the backup information from the old boot drive to the new boot drive. To avoid competing boot drives on the same machine, I promptly renamed the Windows folder on the old hard drive to Windows.OLD, and there was no difficulty associated with this (but I used an old laptop with and external USB caddy for this step). I will probably wipe the old hard disk C partition when I am satisfied that the new configuration is hardy.

Easy installation, fantastic results
Installed this into a Lenovo T430 to replace the original HDD and it couldn't have been easier. It was the exact same size as the existing drive, and required no special drivers. I installed Windows 10 from a USB drive in under 20 minutes, and once I rebooted from the SSD it only took about 5 seconds for Windows to load (literally).I don't do much with my computer other than email and documents so I can't make any recommendation for real performance -- my demands are so low that anything will perform well, and having this SSD drive has breathed new life into an old computer. If you're just looking for SSD instead of HDD, this has really proven the 50 bucks worthwhile. Now we'll see how long the drive lasts -- hopefully it doesn't break down after just a few months. But so far after a day, it's fantastic.

Great SSD drive - FAST, Compatible and Durable.
Another fast, compatible and reliable SSD from Kingston. I've been using Kingston SSDs for several years - both in my personal laptops/desktops as well as for customers' computers. I have never had an issue with Kingston SSDs. Just recently I purchased a couple of SanDisk SSDs as they were a few dollars cheaper than the Kingston SSDs. Big mistake. Both SanDisk SSDs arrived Dead-On-Arrival. I'm not sure if they were damaged in shipping (although no visible damage) due to the poor packaging (retail blister pack) or poor shipping packaging (padded envelope) or the lightweight plastic case/housing of the SanDisk SSD.The Kingston SSDs feel much more heavy duty and durable compared to the light plastic toy-like SanDisk SSDs. I've used several different brands of SSDs over the years with Kingston being the most common. In the future I'll not waste my time and just purchase the Kingston SSDs.Highly recommended based on several years of using Kingston SSDs (several dozen still going strong).
