Considering PABA supplements are hard to find and expensive, this is a great value. I order one kilogram which will last me for 9+ months.Some people complain about the flavor, but I don't think it is that bad. Just a little sour. The powder does not dissolve well in water, but if you stir it into a few ounces then drink it quickly, goes down without a problem.The packaging isn't that great though. The zip lock top doesn't work well. I ended up just dumping the contents into a separate jar. Also, FYI, does NOT come with a scoop.If you are looking for supplement guidance on PABA and having a hard time finding it, that is because it does not exist. PABA is has not been heavily studied and most of the data out there is old. A quick internet search will find articles but most are dated in the 1950's and 1960's and that is it. Most of the recent writing out there on PABA are purely speculative based upon anecdotal evidence. But there are enough testimonials that I think it is worth a try.There are many claims it can recolor hair, even out skin tone, or even help with depression. I started taking on a recommendation of a nutritionist who said, "it was something worth trying..." Dosing information is almost non-existent. Recommendations range from 500 mg to 12 grams a day (anything above 12 g might be toxic so don't try a higher dose without consulting a doctor.) I settled at 1 gram a day to start and finally got to about 6 grams before seeing any effects. The half life of PABA is exceptionally low with studies showing it maybe 3-4 hours maximum. This may require dosing multiple times a day. For FDA approved conditions, dosing 4 times a day is required, so use that as guidance when determining your schedule. I settled on 3 times a day which was consistent with the timing for other supplements I take daily.I don't think I started seeing any benefits for about six months, but after that my skin tone did even out and overall just looked better. Not sure if it does anything for hair color as mine is generally fine. I think it did improve the strength and condition of my hair though. It appears shinier and slightly thicker.There were some mild side effects when I first started taking PABA. For about a month would get occasional digestive issues. Nothing serious enough to contemplate ceasing use, but I would consider them to be significant enough to label as "inconvenient."The bottom line with PABA is it is worth giving a try if you are looking for a supplement that might address a condition that is evading more standard remedies. Do NOT expect a magic bullet though. You will most likely need to take many grams, several times day, over the course of many months before seeing any results. If you don't mind investing the time and energy into this kind of supplement treatment, give it a shot. Otherwise, you might want to look for something else.

One has to remember that the bulky multivitamins are almost pointless when it comes to the body absorbing everything they have to offer. I have wanted PABA for sunscreen ever since I used some on my husband for a deep sea fishing trip. He was in a hurry and I only had PABA in a liquid form which was hard to put on. He was out for hours in the hot sun but I saw right away where the PABA had missed!....My fingers were there on his arm where I'd applied the PABA TANNED, not just unburned but tan! And all around them-where I'd missed putting the PABA was a deep red. He had no other sunburn but had rather become tan in just that one afternoon....This powdered PABA I put into my regular skin cream. It required nothing more than stirring! Easy peasy! I also added Bulk Supplements zinc oxide because I wanted a complete sunscreen (and it also dissolves by stirring...yay!) but I intend to try using PABA alone in another cream to see if it works like it did on my husband so many years ago,,.

My doctor recommended I take a papa supplement. I chose Bulk Supplement because of the purity of the product. I find it to be a exceptional value. I mix 1/4 tsp in 2oz of water, it is a bit sour but certainly drinkable.

I have not used this product yet. I bought this PABA because I am going to make a vitiligo cream for my husband. But, I am still waiting on one more item to complete the cream. I purchased it from bulk supplements because i previously bought niacin from this company and it is wonderful. I use it every morning in our orange juice and it always provides a wonderful niacin flush. I am sure the PABA will be just as high a quality.
