I bought these because the screw back on my diamond studs wouldn’t stay in. I had given up wearing them. I have even been considering how to get them reset into huggie hoops or something more secure—but jewelry setting work is very expensive. I would guess that the operation of these earring backs could be dependent on the thickness of the post but they worked very well on mine. My diamond studs are not only secure but they also are no longer floppy. I’m so glad to have found these earring backs. No more lost earrings and no more sagging studs.

These earring backs are very pretty. However, they are very difficult to hold onto, making it difficult to apply them to the earrings. Also, these backs, once on the earrings, will not stay securely, they pull off extremely easily, without having to compress the side buttons. These backs may be fine for inexpensive costume earrings, however they are definitely NOT appropriate for diamond earrings.

These earring backs are definitely worth the price. I never worry that my backs will fall off or that I may lose my earrings. They snap onto the earrings very securely. They were a little hard to put on at first, but after the first 3 or 4 times, it was very easy. My only complaint is that they are a little bulky. This may be necessary in order to perform their intended function, however, they are a little large in size and can be viewed from straight ahead. You can see a bit of them peaking out from the sides of your earlobes. From the side, they look too big and awkward and distract from the earring itself. I still use them because they work so well, but usually only when I wear my hair down so the backs aren't as visible.

It's very hard to hold onto those slippery disks to get them onto the posts after you've put the post through your ears, I can only imagine it's going to be super-hard to pinch in those two little wings to get them off again. Also, you have to push the backer up against your ear lobe to hold a post in place, so the rest of the earring's post is going to poke your neck if you sleep in them, meaning you need to put a silicone earring back on after you use the locking back. Still, since the lock seems very secure, I'll tolerate the extra steps, just to avoid losing earrings with either monetary or sentimental value.

Love this type of back it doesn’t have crevices to have buildup smooth surface so comfortable just a great back

I got diamond earrings as a gift. Obviously, scared of losing them. So I took them to jeweler to get screw back posts, the most secure, right? NO. Both would loosen throughout the day. Oddly my left ear would loosen faster/more frequently than the right one (I tried swapping the earrings and the backs). I lost 2 screw backs due to this (and luckily the earring didnt fully fall out of my ear before noticing!!).Anyway, I thought I'd try these. I cannot recommend them enough. I am a heathen and would prefer to never remove my earrings. These have not budged in two months. I did take them out to clean them. They are SO secure and its such a relief to not worry about losing a stud.I used these with the threaded post still and have not had any issues

The hole is significantly smaller than my post. The smaller backing is mine and the larger backing is the one that I ordered. I am returning because I can’t use them.
