Q: Can the whole cover be completely removed if needed?

Yes, the cover can be removed very quickly and easily. To remove all you need to do is loosen up two star knobs located on the underside of the cover at the cab end. Then just fold up, buckle, and take the cover off.

Q: Will it still work with a tool box?

It will not work with standard boxes unless they are below the top up of the bed. The BakFlip covers the entire opening of the truck bed. Look at the toolbox option offered from BakFlip

Q: Does it also flip cab side?

No, this will only flip from the tail towards the cab.
