I recently purchased the Women’s Core Purple Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice! The F1 fit was spot on for my 5’4” frame and 145lbs build. It’s snug where it needs to be without feeling too tight or restrictive. The gi is incredibly comfortable, and I love that it moves with me during rolls.The color is a beautiful lighter purple that really stands out in a room full of dark and white gis, making it easy to spot myself on the mat while I was reviewing tape tonight. It’s eye-catching without being overwhelming, and it’s a great alternative to the typical black or white gi.We practiced competition rounds tonight, and I was impressed by how well the gi held up. It wasn’t too hot, but it’s heavy enough to withstand an hour and a half of lapel grips and pants grips without a single thread coming loose. The pants are also super comfortable, staying in place even through inversions and other intense drills without needing to be retied.Additionally, the gi comes with a white belt, which was a nice bonus. I do like the fabric of the lilac gi (I have been told the fabric will change depending on the color)Shipping was quick (thanks Amazon)Okay, Putting it on right out of the package it felt a little loose however the pant cord is super durable and feels tight, I just threw it in the washer on warm and drying it on medium in hopes it shrinks a little and over time as I am short and pretty petite. For the price and quality it’s a great first gi for anyone or just wanting an extra one like I do. I have been training for several years and always had 1 gi that I would wear the most, (tatami) but it’s nice to have multiple and for the price can’t beat it.Tangent: I’ve always struggled finding the right fit for gis I am 5’2 130-135 small torso long legs, small waist… the struggle is real.I usually order F1 or F2’s. My go to is tatami but they are basically sold out of everything that I like. There is a brand called “kitsume” where you can order different sized pant and top! (Haven’t tried that brand yet) I do have a survival gear set( but it’s unisex, the top was short and my pants kept falling down and I got so annoyed I wanted to grab another gi) no offense to Kent P I wanted to “buy his shit” but over time the gi annoyed me more than it should have.I chose elite as it was cheaper, and I wasn’t ready to drop another 150 on a gi yet.Please do not let this review deter you, if you are looking for an extra gi to have, or just starting out… it will take a while to learn what you like…. Elite is a great starting point also the brands I pointed out above are also amazing but a little more expensive.
