Our well water didn't taste bad before, but it's well water so filtering is still a good idea. I like that the hose on the black model is also black because it blends in well. The unit attaches to the faucet in a matter of minutes, the switch is easy to flip, and the flow rate out of the filter is much faster than our Brita faucet filter. Once filled with water, the filter is heavy, so it doesn't move around and the spout is very flexible and can be twisted to various different angles. Based on the Q&As, it appears as though this filter housing will also hold the 1050 alkaline filter, so I may try that on my first filter change. With this 1030 filter, I also notice a better flavor to our coffee. We did an experiment one weekend with a bottle of alkaline water, and it made the coffee much better. The 1030 filter has a calcite portion which should increase the pH some, so that may be why our coffee tastes better.

I’m so disappointed. I purchased this water filter and was so happy to receive it. Well it took a while for it to be installed in my home because I was out of town for a month and a half at my sons home. Finally got to install it in mid April. I like it. Water pours out fast. Less then a minute to fill a big pitcher of water. Awesome!

I received the unit in a timely manner. However the unit was cracked and leaking water as soon as it was plugged in. Currently working with Amazon to get a refund back.
