Nicely designed - works well
After many many years of faithful service my old motorized tie rack went to the big closet in the sky. This replacement one has a higher capacity, is very thoughtfully (and better than the old one) designed, and was easier to install on my wooden closet rod. I like the way that the whole battery compartment slides off the front of the rack for ease of battery replacement. Securing the rack to the rod is nicer too - with the securing screw easily accessible from below. A nice design touch are with the extra hooks mounted under the body of the rack - though I'm not sure that I'll ever use them? It runs smoothly and quickly (for a tie rack), with nice illumination. If it lasts half as long as my old (RIP) one then I will remain very happy with it. It also comes with the kit to mount on a wire closet rack - though I haven't and won't need to use this feature. Overall very recommended.

Helpful Device
Worked great. Easy to install. Note that if you double up the ties on all the hangers, it can't turn the rack. Works perfectly with one tie per hanger.

No complaints here…
I came across some negative reviews, talking about slow motor speed, no instructions, etc. That was not my experience at allUnit came easy to assemble right out of the box. Simple instructions. Took me longer to remove my old one than it did to install this new one. Motor is fine, and easy to control with the buttons on the face.Tons of room for all of my ties, and even some space to add to my collection.Great product, and I hope it lasts a very long time.

High capacity/Works well
I recently installed an Ikea PAX Wardrobe system closet and was looking for an option to store my ties that used a small footprint and allowed me to view and access the ties. This product meets those needs. Holds 72 ties (and 8 belts if you add that-I didn't need it). I didn't rate durability since I have only had it installed for a week, but the operation is smooth and easy. Installation is easy. I gave it four stars rather than 5 only because the mounting could be better. I have it mounted on the clothes rod. To do this you simply slide the top onto the bottom with the rod trapped in between. A large screw then is hand tightened from underneath that secures it... or it is supposed to. Once the rack was fully loaded, the systems was not completely stable. As it moves around and the unit tilts slightly... I assume from a variance in the weight of ties, although it is completely full. It is not a big deal as the movement is only about 2 cm up or down and ties remain in place... I think it should be a bit more stable. It met my needs and I am very pleased.

What A Tie Organizer & Batteries Last A Long Time
I purchased the Primode Motorized Tie Rack Closet Organizer in 2017 and just replaced the batteries the first time today, 04/27/2025. I was surprised at how long the batteries lasted and the Tie Rack Organizer has worked flawlessly for over 8 years. This is one gadget that I highly recommend.

Man they really don't want you to use the J hooks to hang this thing!
I was interested in getting something to organize my many ties and this seemed to fit the bill. However I kept noticing the bar shown in all of their promotional pictures was different from the wire rack style I have in my closet. I thought "No big deal i'm a manly man i'll figure out how to install it with the J hooks it comes with..." Well buckle up kids, let me explain the two and a half hour odyssey of frustration I took to get this thing installed! It started with unpacking the unit and having a random assortment of washers, butterfly rings and the hooks fall out. (For those of you who've asked a million times these bubble wrapped extra pieces are for poor fools like me who bought this item because we don't have a metal bar in our closet or don't have enough clearance space to "seamlessly" slide the unit's tube in place.) "So, how to install it?" "Let me check the instructions" (There are none). "Let me check online" (No manual found). "Well... let me check the pictures on the box I think I saw one similar to mine." (Not a single one!) So I mess around with the washers hooks and the u shaped black plastic piece for an hour until I finally figure out a somewhat sane orientation. I say "somewhat" because it's at this point I realize I will have to disassemble the tube, stick the washer and butterfly screw on underneath the top portion of the tube and then put the J hooks through both holes and hold them in place while I screw the butterfly screws in place without being able to see.I didn't have enough hands to do all of this so I asked my room mate to hold the Ushaped piece over the holes at the top of the tube just to keep everything from falling apart. Finally, I slide the top part of the tube back on and try to hang the thing before I realize I can't tighten it onto the wire rack with the bottom portion attached. So, I slide it back off and tighten the butterfly screws so the J hooks grip the wire rack securely."Now...oh gosh i'm gonna have to slide the entire unit back onto the top portion with the hooks from underneath, in my closet, while blindly looking for the grooves that hold both pieces together!" After another 20 minutes of doing a not fun at all limbo to get this thing on it's in place and the picture i've attached is the end result. The motorized rotation works fine, and can hold a large amount of ties (probably not 72 and definitely not with 8 belts attached) but seriously if you want an easy installation use it as pictured because you will get no insight as to how to put it together any other way. If you're still intent on getting this thing even though your closet is a wire rack just ask a question about how to install and I'll try to give you more of my 2 cents (because lord knows you aren't getting that info from Primode.) Rant over!
