Fantasticly useful!
The media could not be loaded. I've just bought a house with quite a large and overgrown garden. This shredder has therefore seen plenty of action!Firstly it arrives in a surprisingly compact box, but it's also surprisingly heavy so please be careful when moving it.Its a simple process to assemble, but again the shredder unit is quite heavy to lift and mount on the frame. The shredder unit feels very substantial and sturdy, the wheeled frame is okay but the wheels are only held on using split pins... not the best but fit for purpose I suppose. The plastic handle on the shredder unit makes maneuvering the unit much easier, and also allows the power cord to be wrapped around it when not in use.Once assembled all you have to do is switch on and get shredding. The cord is nice and long and also reassuringly chunky. The shredder is much quieter than others I've tried. This is probably due to the slow speed of the shredding blades. They essentially crush the wood rather than slice through it.It will take branches up to 4.5cm diameter, basically anything you can shove down the loading slot.Even dense conifer went through without trouble. You need to empty the container underneath quite often, or the shreddings can back up.This is a bit of a hassle, but it's the same for all shredders of a similar design. You also need to adjust the thickness of the shredding quite often to keep material passing through happily.Wood needs quite a thick setting but greenery and brambles need a much finer setting.Overall I'm delighted with this. It's amazing how much volume it saves.I turned a massive pile of trimmed branches into a compact pile of shredding which all fitted in the car for a trip to the local recycling centre.Yes it takes some time to feed all the branches through, but it's worth the effort. The shreddings can also be used for compost or mulch too.At £220 I think it offers decent value for money, its well worth the price and I hope it will give me many years of service.I hope you find my review helpful.****** Update August 2024********So after 3 months of intense usage I managed to wear out the thickness adjustment bolt, this meant the shredder would no longer shredder, making it useless.I contacted their customer support people and had a response within 24hrs.They arranged to collect the machine and repair it under warranty. This was done in a little over a week and the shredder is now back with me, working brilliantly again. So I'll keep my 5 🌟 review in place as their customer care was first rate.

Disappointing quality.
The box arrived intact with no damage, but the plastic box which collects the shredding was cracked in multiple places. It is almost bound to happen given how the shredder was packaged. The front of the shredder was also scratched in multiple places. Shredding is slow and the bits are coarse even after adjustment. Disappointing. At least it is quieter than my old Bosch which I will now repair.

Works well
Bought this to replace a Bosch which we’d managed to burn out. It’s a heavy beast but it works well. The plastic bin is a bit fragile. Ours was badly cracked when we opened the packaging and set it up. However, I wanted it for a job so I’ve stuck it back together with duck tape. Initially, we found the shredder blocked up but it was a simple matter of experimenting with blade settings and ensuring we kept the exit chute clear. Then we found we could shred as fast as we could cut down.I can’t comment on longevity as we’ve only used once but, other than the bin, it feels robust. I think my biggest concern is that the safety interlocks are built into the bin so, when it does give up the ghost (which I don’t think will be too long) I can’t stick a trug underneath and keep on using it. I’ll have to buy a new bin.

Very good buy
Very powerful machine and very safe also fairly quiet easy to use it is also quite heavy. The chippings go into a box which makes life very simple will definitely recommend this machine as it does the job extremely wellUpdate 2 years and one month after buying.Got it out started up, started smoking and shut down.It was clean inside and ready to go.Disappointed to say the least.

Beast of a shredder
I had quite a lot of branches to shred and have tried different ones in my lifetime only for them to refuse to shred or burn out after a few branches. This shredder is not cheap but follows that age-old adage 'you get what you pay for' or 'If you buy cheap, you end up buying twice'. This machine is heavy, I mean really heavy and the solid construction I hoped would stand the test - and it did. Hour after hour shredding branched up to an inch thick, it coped with ease. Just to be sure I let it rest after about 30 minutes. That is not to say it couldn't cope, as with any electric motor is good to treat them kindly. The shredder is quiet and efficient. The only down side and one I saw on other reviews was that the collection box arrived broken. As was mine. A request for replacement was made and arrived within a couple of days. I believe the damage is caused by the way it is packaged as the main unit is placed inside the plastic collection box for packaging and logistics.

Value for money
A really good machine I have really put it to work. Does the job well. I recommend this machine and the company that sold it to me, tip top

Would probably be very good if it worked!
A fault in the electrical circuit, causing RCD to trip repeatedly, prevented the shredder from operating. Returned and refunded with no fuss.

Very heavy and plastic box flimsy
Had to return this as plastic box was badly damaged even though outer box was undamaged. Also, difficult for me, age 82 to move around especially if there are steps or raised areas. The machine body itself seems rugged, shame about the plastic collection box.
