Read the Fine Print
After researching more on this splitter, and ordering it, and trying to hook up a 4k monitor and my basic 10+years TV, the description on the manufacturers page states:"If the connected displays do not support the same resolution then the splitter will lower the output resolution to the next best resolution supported by both displays and same goes with the audio signal. We recommend using this splitter with high quality HDMI cables 30 feet or less."This is not mentioned anywhere on this Amazon description page. Not even in the instruction manual included with this product. You have to go to their website. So since I don't have a 4k TV, the splitter lowers the output to match the next best, which in this case is my old TV. My error.

This is perfect for streamers and capture cards
I got this to split from a TV to a capture card. Perfect for people who like to stream and do not want to use the passthrough port on a capture deviceAlso supports ARC, so sound was working. If you have problems with sound, its something wrong with your setup.

HDCP splitter bypass
The adaptor wire is long enough to reach my power outlet, it doesn’t feel cheap, easy to use, came in with a instruction pamphlet, you can easily find more info online (eg. YouTube). If you wanted to live stream PS3 games, you would want a HDCP bypass splitter that would work, I highly recommend buying this particular splitter.

Did not work
Went with this as is had received a quantity of good reviews , but it just didn’t work , flashing lights on the device came up on the instructions manual as hdcp issue , I tried everything and every combination of attaching cables in different orders , just would not work , returned and purchased another make for less than half the price , and it fired up no problem at all with the first try

Works with Shaw Bluesky TV.
Recently switched from Arris Gateway to Bluesky TV with Shaw. I use an Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro to get HDTV on my PC. Everything worked fine with the Gateway portal but when I connected the Bluesky box, I got no picture or sound! (probably an HDCP issue related to the Bluesky HDMI output). Connected the HD-102 and voila - had my TV back on my computer. Thanks - great product!

Yes, this thing does what you want it to do.
I liked how this thing does the thing where it does stuff... You know, the part where you plug your hdmi cables in, and I get a picture on both devices I plug the outputs into! My PlayStation 3 is now visible not only on my television, but also on my Razer Ripsaw! I look forward to an improved PS3 picture quality for my Twitch channel!
