Take the color blind out of shipping
okay. Which one of you colorblind dingbats pulled my order? I picked brown, not Hobo the Clown red. OMG, my fierce, dark and enigmatic JM looks like the runner up at a pimp fashion competition. Yet, the quality of this gross pimp baby bib is outstanding. IF only you had not let the colorblind dingbat do the picking I would keep you in mind for my next JM pickguard purchase. As it stands I will probably have to move to Alaska to escape the shame of putting this pimp flare of a pickguard on my JM. You colorblind turd of a shipping clerk.

Garbage
I wanted to swap out the red tortoise pickguard on my 90's Japanese Jazzmaster for a black one. In my search for a replacement pickguard, I settled on the Dopro. When the pickguard arrived, I pulled it out of the shipping envelope to find that it was bent and unusable. I returned it, and - to their credit - a replacement was shipped fast. The replacement seemed fine, so I got to work on pulling the strings and hardware off the guitar to make the swap. I connected all of the pots and switches to the new pickguard, but when I tried to set it in place, it didn't line up perfectly with the pickups. The only way to make it work was to use my Dremel to carefully enlarge the opening for the bridge pickup. After a few tries of shaving it down and checking for fit, I finally managed to get the pickguard to fit over the pickups. I thought all was going well, but when I went to fasten the pickguard to the guitar body, several of the screw holes didn't line up. I wasn't about to drill new holes into the guitar just to accommodate this thing, so I gave up and reinstalled my old pickguard. Several hours wasted, and nothing to show for it. Maybe this pickguard worked fine for others, but there should be a warning that it is NOT compatible with all Jazzmasters. What a disappointment.

Excellent for the price
I'm super happy with this guard. It's not the highest quality fit, in that if you look closely you can see some of the rounded edges have very slight angular facets instead of perfectly smooth and round. I don't require that level of perfection, and it's not noticeable at all unless you're really looking for it. Also... For this price you can't complain. The celluloid material is very good quality, and is not a print. It does not easily scratch, although I was confused at first by TWO layers of protective plastic on the guard - I thought it was scratching and dull looking until I realized there was another layer of sticky plastic wrap. The red tortoise color is very nice, I love the look on my Squier Jazzmaster.

Amazing value for the money! High quality!
I really did not expect this product to be very good, I ordered it on a whim just to check it out for my Fender Squier J. Mascis Jazzmaster upgrade project. Turns out, it is very high quality, looks great and the holes matched very nicely to the J. Mascis. There was only one hole just a little off, but I was able to finesse the screw so it fits just right. I had to open up the control shaft holes very slightly with a round file, literally 4 of 5 strokes. The back was only shielded down over the volume, tone, output jack area. I went ahead and lined the entire back with copper shield tape. I'd easily pay a couple of bucks more to have it shielded completely. I almost bit on a customer pickguard a guy sells on Reverb for $75, I am sure it is nice, but this one is more than good enough, and I am very picky!

Great for CV with a few mods
I bought this pick guard for my Squier Classic Vibe JazzmasterWhen I received it I just did the switches of the parts meaning the pots and output jack and etc. The only problem I ran into was the pickup wheels and I was scared that I needed to sand the body but once Inspected it a bit more I noticed that I just needed to move the wheels a bit toward which was super easy to do with the Alan wrench.Another problem I had was the placement of the wholes for the bridgeI used a Christmas tree bit to make the whole bigger. I made the whole a bit bigger than it needed it to be but wasn’t too worried because the bridge was gonna cover it either wayAfter that it fit in perfectly with no other issues and looks great :)
