Polyvine Wax Finish Varnish Dead Flat 500ml

So easy to use!! Covered beautifully and dried with no shine. I used this over milk paint—I used the milk paint on a sanded, shiny laminate bookcase. After three coats, the milk paint was scratching off when I barely touched the piece. So frustrating! But because I put so much work into milk painting the bookcase, I decided to find a dead flat poly to add a hardened final surface coat. This product did the job!!! I was also able to fill my bookcase the next day without anything sticking to the surface. No milk paint has scratched off.I’ve also used Polyvine over chalk paint. It maintains the chalky dead flat look but adds the hardness the paint needs on a surface that will get a lot of use. Highly recommend this product!!

Where have you been all my life? Definitely never using regular sealer again because of the issues with bubbling. This stuff is amazing!. I used for my chalk painted furniture and it looks so good and super easy no fuss to apply.

I painted some furniture in my daughter's room with white chalk paint. I loved the flat look that I got but didn't want to use wax to seal the chalk paint because it wears off over time and has to be re-waxed. So my search began for an alternative. I read a lot about a polycrylic varnish but could only find those in a satin finish, and using a varnish you would lose the nice fill of wax. I was so happy when I found the wax finish varnish and even more thrilled when I found that it came in flat. It goes on really easy, and protects the piece of furniture well. It kept the nice flat look and it feels very silky to the touch. I am so thrilled with this product. It also stays clear on white paint. Some varnishes tend to get a yellow tint when painted on white and this has stayed completely clear.

Product works just as well as it says it does! Put it on my dining table that I'd painted with chalk paint, cleans up wonderfully. Also, arrived earlier than expected, which is always a plus!

I love this varnish! My husband and I sell refinished chalk painted furniture and this varnish goes on beautifully and in my opinion is a great alternative to using a wax product, which has to be reapplied occasionally. It has a wonderfully smooth finish comparable to wax and a little goes a long way.

love, love this stuff! Not sure why a couple of people say they had yellowing, I have had it on several items of different colors for almost a year and still no yellowing. Beautiful,soft finish. My latest creation with the dead flat finish :)

I bought this to go over a chalk paint project. It went on very easily and was not as messy as other varnishes. It has made my project very durable which makes cleaning it less of a chore since you don't have to be so gentle with it. The chalk paint retains most of its matte finish.One downside, after about a week it started to have a very slight yellow hue...not too noticeable but it might be if used on a lighter color.

This is the second time I've purchased dead flat. It is so easy to put on and leaves furniture well protected. Used it for my dining set over 2 years ago and makes it so easy to clean. I use it on frames, shelves, drawers and cabinets. Often recommended this to others. No bubbles, peeling or yellowing. It has no shine which is what I like.
