A 67 YEAR OLD CAN INSTALL THIS!
I had HoneyWell Door Locks on my old house and loved them, so when I needed ones on my new Home there wasn't a 2nd thought. I had to have them installed by a Handyman at my old home because I didn't think I could do it myself, and it was very expensive! I checked around for the best price, and now I was looking for the ease of installation! Thank goodness for Amazon Warehouse! I didn't think I could afford more than 1 even though I needed 2, but the price on Amazon Warehouse was perfect! Now the fun part, can I install it myself? I reviewed several other Locks that had Videos of the installation and thought there was no way I could do this alone! Then I reviewed the Honeywell video. I thought I can do this, and if not I can trust Amazon to help me or I will return it with no problems! I'm glad to say after going over the video from Honeywell several times, what can I say I'm old :) , I DID IT! FYI ABOUUT THE VIDEO: I had some difficulties until I realized the Lock the video is about is not exactly the same as mine, but be patient the parts are all there just not in the exact spot as the video shows. I feel very safe now in my Home, I purchased 2 and can't wait to get the perfect day, when its warmer out :), to put the 2nd 1 in! I shared my experience with my sister who also purchased 1 and will be helping her put hers in this weekend! I live in a Senior community and can't wait to show off my new door locks to my neighbors who are my age, and assure them that they can do it, if I can!

Worth the money, highly recommended.
I have installed these on every exterior door to the house and on my office door (4 total). I love not needing keys. The price is right. They work well. It might be nice to have one that works with Alexa but the price for those is much higher and the benefit is marginal. You can set these to automatically lock after xxx seconds or minutes, so there is no need to have Alexa lock the doors.Pressure washing the house and one lock filled with water. It stopped working but I opened it up poured out the water and let it dry. It works again. If the door is not closed properly and the bolt prevented from fully extending, the lock gets confused. Just enter the code to unlock and lock it again to clear the problem. You might need to take the batteries out, put them back in and try again (reboot). Seems logical but it took me a little while to figure it out. I suspect a lot of the complaints are due to installations where the bolt cannot fully extend if the door is not closed exactly right.

Not worth it
This keypad stopped working in under a month of using. The bolt would not move unless manually done from inside, even then, the lock would be extremely hard to lock and unlock. Setting up the codes was pretty difficult to do. I suggest looking for a different lock instead.

Low Profile but Complex Programming for Anything beyond 1 Code
I bought this after initially buying a popular Schlage electric keypad lock with a similar layout. That locks handle was too proud of the surface and would keep my storm door from being able to latch. This was a simple replacement and works great so far. The instructions have indepth ability to create multiple users but also require you to manually keep track of what users are which # which to me feels burdensome for a residential keypad lock. I made one (replacement - as the instructions walk you through replacing the default keycode) user / code and left it at that.

second one we've bought -- this one quit TWO DAYS after warranty expired!
We chose this lock for the front door of our small, donation-supported historical museum because it was the only size and shape we could make fit on this century-old doorway. The first one quit after 1 year and 1 week -- note that it is only used twice a day, 5 days a week for 7 months of the year.So we ordered a second one, because it's still the only one that fits. Again, very pleased with the function, but again it quit after the warranty ran out. This time TWO DAYS after the end of the warranty period. So obviously this is a one-year lock.We have ordered it again -- for the same reasons -- with the warranty addition, but this does not help us protect our collection between ordering and receiving. If we had more money we would simply order two, so we always have one on hand. But we are donor supported and that simply isn't an option.Buyer beware. Good lock but lasts only 1 year.

Easy installation
This lock looks beautiful and was fairly easy to install. We just bought it so it’s too early to say how well it will hold up to the weather elements on the finish but we were impressed with the excellent directions.

Unit has failed after 2 years of use
This was a really quality product for the time that it worked. But about 3 months ago, it started randomly retracting the bolt, and ultimately became unworkable. I tried to reach out to Honeywell through their technical support email and never got an answer. This lock is too expensive for having only lasted as long as it did.

There’s ONE really good feature of this lock!
This Honeywell deadbolt is NOT a smart lock so you can’t use Alexa or open the door with your phone. You walk up, punch in your code and it unlocks. That’s about it. After using many like this including fancy smart locks, the stand out feature of THIS Honeywell is, without question, the SUPER LONG BATTERY LIFE! On my first one the batteries lasted like 3 years! I’ve had the second one for 6 mos and still going! Seems the same as my 1st one but this one seems faster and quieter!🤗 My $200 smart lock has about 2 month battery life! It’s cool on features but swapping batteries gets old! Might be less than 2 mos…not sure. I’m ready to give up the smart features and only use this one. Never (figuratively) having to change batteries makes this a superstar! One negative is it said keyable to my Kwikset standard lock but it was not! Don’t care too much about that. Would and will buy this item again.
