Got what I ordered and quickly. Installation was easy and works fine.

I needed a separate PIR to work with two external lights, as my existing one stopped functioning properly after many years of use. With many external lights now coming with an integral PIR, I wasn’t sure what would be available so having looked online, I found some but they were much more expensive, if wanting the ability to adjust the light level your lighting comes on at, the sensitivity, the angle and distance of capture AND the length of time your lighting stays on for. Most were also large and obtrusive, whereas this SEBSON detector offers all the adjustment needed and is neat and compact, all for just over £12 (at the time of writing). Not being an experienced electrician, I needed to think about the connections to the mains and my lighting (my existing cable colours always seem to be different to the instructions!) but once done, fixing was straightforward enough. It’s a fit and forget product at the end of the day and seems to be happily doing its job! Definitely recommended...

Beware not like normal PIR. It’s a wireless movement detector, not familiar with HF and assumed it was PIR. Replaced it straight, it detects movement of any kind, plants, and people. It detects using radio waves, similar to Doppler Effect; needed to detect body heat, so I bought a PIR detector. One day I’ll use this HF sensor. I could place it in a room cupboard, it doesn't need a line of site to detect, ingenious, does it detect through walls? Have to read the spec.

BUYER BEWAREI had these sensors installed front and back of the house, attached to the underside of the soffits of the house giving them the most shielding from the elements as opposed to directly on a wall. I had the sensors up for around 3 weeks when the front sensor ceased to work. On closer inspection a brown liquid was seeping from inside. Upon dismantling as seen in the pictures the dusk sensor has completely corroded inside and failed. As you can see in the sellers own photos as well as mine the "ball" section of the sensor separates into two held together by one small screw; there is absolute no seal to these two sections, no rubber ring, nothing at all; not even multiple screws round to keep it firmly connected together.At the time of purchase and writing this review, the seller has advertised the sensors as having an IP54 rating which means the device should prevent the ingress of dirt and be able to survive water sprayed at it from any direction. This couldnt be further from the truth and is a completely fraudulent, misguiding claim as is evident from my photos. This device has no protection from the elements at all!!I have contacted Sebson in attempt to resolve and they have simply suggested I contact Amazon about it somehow suggesting it is for them to resolve! No apology or attempt to resolve. Due to the fact I purchased these in advance of me starting my project on fully overhauling our houses exterior lights, and it taking a few weeks to complete installation due to the size of my project and fitting it in between a busy work schedule and weather I am out of amazons standard returns period and will be lucky for any support, despite this device failing in a matter of weeks post installation.Gutted!

All good. Works just as expected

This PIR sensor was a replacement for an older one that had stopped working. It was easy to install although the instructions could have been a little bit clearer. It works very well, and comes on quicker that the previous one, which had a 0.5 sec delay before the lights came on. There is also a sensitivity adjustment which the previous one didn't have. This allows adjustment on how far away the PIR will react. The first disappointment is that although there is vertical directional adjustment, there is no horizontal adjustment. The second disappointment is that it failed after 3 days of use!

The sensors work really well but considering it is advertised as for outdoors the waterproofing leaves a lot to be desired and needs to have at least some protection from the weather. Lght rain triggers the sensor and I presume falling snow would as well so unless you don't mind it activating randomly its not fit for purpose.

Controls two LED lamps over my drive. Only 2 days experience, I must now reduce the sensitivity. The mounting holes did not match the previously faulty PIR, so fitting was fiddly (my problem), we'll now wait to see it longevity, but so far, so good.Robert
