Popular game, but not for me
This game checks a lot of boxes for many people. I own the Kickstarter version and have to say that this game is not for me: This is mostly a choose-your-own adventure with codewords adding conditional branches. Interactive story-telling in computer games is much more advanced than this structure: If you bring the berries, you can feed the berry-eating animal. While there are many things to like (e.g., the combat system is unique, the graphic style is consistent), the story did not capture me, and even when skipping and reading through the story book until the conclusion, I cannot genuinely say I was hooked or found a sense of serious progression. As I said before, my opinion is widely different from most of the reviews I have seen by reviewers whose opinion I respect, but I wanted to add this note of caution for people who consider investing into this game. There are, in my opinion, better options in terms of interactive story-telling, and while the design and material are spot on, for me the gameplay got bogged down by fiddly upkeep (fidning resources to simply continue the exploration) and stereo-typical world-building. But this may be my personal taste.

Amazing game
The only downside is it takes a while to set up and pack down due to a lot of pieces. Outside of that it's a fantastic game. Very immersion and varied. Lots of expansions you can get to extend the playability too. It takes multiple sessions to complete a play through. It needs a lot of space to lay all the components out. Easy to follow instructions. Ideal level of difficulty for my taste.
