I watched a professional use his equipment and when he provided me a quote for one grand $ to add a pound of refrigerant to my aging AC unit, I decided these gauges were all that separated my own HVAC skills and his (of course, I'm certified HVAC technician, I just didn't have the equipment I needed to match his capabilities - BTW, it ya wanta learn those skills, look on Youtube, but nuff said). So let's say after buying this gauge set, I was about $900 ahead of the game. Great equipment.

Bought these to use here at the farm to keep AC up to date ,and know whats going on. First one was missing adaptor. had to send back and get 2nd one. It was all there. great Quality made.

The high-side schrader valve leaked, so ... that's a 100% deal-breaker in my book! Plus, I had a good deal of refrigerant sprayed all over before I could get it disconnected. I've used these simple gauge sets many times before, but like an idiot, I tried again, hoping I just somehow didn't achieve a full/firm connection. Nope! More R134a sprayed all over me and the car (a 50K Lincoln Navigator). Wow, what a BIG problem this gauge set caused! Now, I have no idea how much of the charge remains, and getting the engine back to it's previously pristine condition will be a very difficult and time consuming task! All in all I estimate buying this inexpensive gauge set has cost me several hundreds of dollars in time and materials. Guess it wasn't so inexpensive after all!!!! Buy something better, and buy local, lately almost everything I order from Amazon is defective or very short lived. I should have known better. And now YOU do know better, so move on!
