It took about 15 minutes to install this capacitor in my AC and it is back up and running. Has been working perfectly for over a month now.

Worked perfectly.
Diagnosed this was the problem after researching on YouTube. Like others have mentioned this capacitor is longer and narrower than the original. I drilled a new hole in the bracket to compensate. Very easy to replace. Make sure to cut power to AC take a picture of the old capacitor and where wires go. Put in replacement in less than 15 minutes. Turned on AC at thermostat and AC was running! Buying another one just in case this one stops working when it’s 90 degrees out.

8-2016 lasted almost 8 years 7-2024
worked for almost 8 years on a American Standard 3.5 ton unit.I would give a 5 star but I have had a capacitor last 20 years.

Direct replacement of original
This is a "wear" item in your HVAC. When my outside unit started making a graunching noise on start up, I replaced this capacitor. The important numbers to match up are 45 & 7.5. Do not go cheap with a capacitor. Buy the best you can find. This was highly rated and works fine.

Correct part, shipped and received quickly!
Just what I needed to keep the temperature under 95 degrees in our house recently. Fit my application, may not fit yours.

Too small diameter
I bought this capacitor for my A/C but the diameter is too small, then i decided to order a different brand that fit better in my unit.Problem solved.

because it's pretty easy to replace yourself rather than to have to ...
We bought this in case we ever have an issue with our current one. We've found it's easier to have one put away, because it's pretty easy to replace yourself rather than to have to pay a huge weekend service fee to an air conditioning company.
