My wife loves Scrabble so when I saw this I had to get it for her. Others I saw online were much more expensive, so I couldn't beat the price. All of the pieces were there, in great condition, and it even had some of the original score paper. No smell, no stains and the turntable spins with smoothness and ease. Overall, it was a great purchase and my wife loves it.

As a late-30-something adult, I'm new to Scrabble & decided to go all the way & get the deluxe version after reading the reviews. I'm grateful I did. I love the rotating board that makes taking turns so much easier. The tile frames on the board keep the pieces from moving if board gets bumped. There's the option to have the game raised up or low to table, either way the board rotation feature still works. It looks & feels elegant & hardy.It is "addicting" though! The 1st week we had it, my husband wanted to play every hour, literally! I love it too, but not THAT much. I still have a life to live outside of Scrabble. I've always loved words and learning new ones to sprinkle into conversation--I read dictionaries for fun as a child! Somehow I never got into Scrabble until now and I can see why it has lasted so long & become so popular it's almost cult-like. Anyone who loves to learn new words, show off the little-known words they do know, or just likes to have good fun with friends or family, will enjoy this game, perhaps more than any other in their game stack. It's definitely worth the money to get this version over the basic Scrabble board.

This Scrabble set is definitely not worth the $145 I paid for it. As as matter of fact, it is not worth any amount of money. If you're thinking of buying it: DON'T. I play Scrabble on a regular basis and wanted a durable, "deluxe" set with a turntable to add to my collection of Scrabble sets. When I saw this on Amazon and read the manufacturer's description (which turned out to be very misleading), I though it be would be professional quality. It is not. It is made of cheap, thin, breakable plastic, with flimsy plastic tile racks, and a very cheap looking board. And, to add to the cheap quality, I had to put parts of the set together. For this kind of money, I should not have had to twist in the rubber "legs" or stick the decal letter counters onto the racks, nor should I have had to suffer the embarassment of having the tiles slip off the board every time it was turned on its pedestal -- thus ruining the first and last game played using this set. The only good thing I can say about it is that Amazon was gracious enough to send me a pre-paid return label, accept my return and fully refund my money. It's a shame that Hasbro has stooped so low as to to producing and selling at an exhorbitant price a cheaply-made version of one the most enjoyable, educational, and popular board games ever played.

We've had this version of the game for several years now and it's great. The way the game is designed (to spin to each player at her/his turn) is awesome and makes the words much easier to read. The grid on the board is slightly raised which is great because the tiles don't slide around the board as much. And it's nice to have trays (? the place where each player keeps their letters) that have the point amounts of each letter clearly listed. There's probably a much clearer way of saying all these things - my apologies, lol - but overall this is a great version of the game for word nerds like me.

I definitely recommend this version of Scrabble over the standard version for these reasons:-There is a cloth bag, which makes a better "grab bag" for choosing tiles, meaning you don't have to spread them down on the table.-The tile racks have a listing of how many of each letter appears in the game.-The board has slots that hold the tiles in place (see more on this below), which is a lot better than the flat board where tiles shift around easily.-The board rotates, allowing all players to have the board facing them during their turns.-The instruction book includes a listing of a Q-words without using a "u" and also all allowable two-letter words.There are some downsides to this version, but mainly only in comparison to the old deluxe version.-This version's letter slots are very shallow; letters still shift slightly. It is a lot better than the standard version but not as good as the old deluxe version that had deep plastic slots.-The board is somewhat flimsy. The old version was made very well and not cheaply. This version is definitely plastic and probably isn't as durable, although I haven't had any problems with mine yet, except for a slight drift when the rotating wheel is in a certain position.For the versions of Scrabble that are currently available, I would say this is a good choice, but like other reviewers, I do wish the manufacturers had stuck with better materials and workmanship!

The product arrived well before expected which was a pleasant surprise and very well packaged. As a used item, it was packaged so well, and once opened a dictionary and pen were already included in the Scrabble set. Even buying a Scrabble game as new, we never get such perks as that. I am most satisfied with the seller as well as the product. A turn table Scrabble set is difficult to find and I was so happy I found one to be able to give as a gift to someone who really appreciated it.

Wanted a second scrabble game like the one we have for our daughter to have at her house. Looked around and prices for new game with turntable style are ridiculous. Started searching for used and came across this one at a reasonable price. Box was slightly dinged, but game pieces were like new. Very happy with purchase!
