Panasonic DMP-BDT180EB Blu-ray Player Multiregion Blu-ray & DVD with HDMI lead

How can Amazon sell an item that is clearly not what it was described as? Good blue ray player butt...... not an all-playing DVD multi-region player. tried one of my Region 1 DVDs NO!!!!!!! went through quite a few still NO!!!!!!. So I wasted £117 on a piece of s_______t. Sorry had to be said. Amazon should hold its head in shame. updatethe reason that might be the problem is the operation guide is for the DMP-BDT280, which from the operation guide is Multi-region, The DMP-BDT 180 from visiting various websites is not. A good 4K upscale, decent Blueray player but NOT MULTI-REGION So if you want Multi-region don't waste your money or time on this one.

NO MATTER WHAT BLU-RAY DISC I PUT IN THIS PLAYER I GET A MESSAGE THAT THE DISC IS NOT COMPATIBLE...IT PLAYS NO BLU-RAYS WHAT SO EVER NOT EVEN REGION B OR REGION FREE, I HAVE FOLLOWED ALL THE STEPS TO PLAY THE DISC PRESS 1 FOR REGION A AMERICAS OR 2 FOR STANDARD UK REGION B ETC...THE DISC SPINS UP THINKS ABOUT IT FOR A WHILE AND THEN SAYS IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE....I PAID OVER DOUBLE THE PRICE OF A NEW B REGION AND I CAN NOT EVEN PLAY B REGION...WHAT A JOKE

The first thing to clarify is that this player IS multi-region (DVD auto and manual Blu Ray), but you have to purchase it from the correct seller. I think due to how Amazon combines the product model, it's easy to end up buying just a regular one - mine came from Multi region magic, but I think the one sold by TPS is also multi-region. This is quite a basic model, but it covers all the typical features well - 4k upscaling, 3D etc. The remote is small but functional. There's no display on the unit, which is quite compact. Being a low end model there are no enhanced audio formats like SACD supported, but you get what you pay for. The Blu Ray region switching was very simple. Absolutely no complaints !

This Bluray player is compact and just the thing to fit on my TV stand, which already Carries my Hifi system, Satellite receiver and large screen TV. Set up is really intuitive and I cannot fault the picture quality or sound, it's perfect for my needs.

Tried to go cheap didn't work out. Have known this supplier since multi region conversion started, very long time ago. Thank goodness they are on Amazon now. With the icos chip, in your own mind divide you DVD into blue ray and normal DVD. Both can be mixed into up ntsc and UK put them into your player off you go. Now bluray follow instructions, put your region one disc into machine, then stop, press on the remote supplied one. Then play your disc. Its region one for USA press two for UK, remember this is only for blueray only. Please buy with confidence, wonderfully easy, expect to pay about £169 any less you are taking a chance, I should know, my second time was a pleasant experience. Thank you Amazon.

Another attempt to buy a multi-region BluRay player, thought it’d be 3rd time lucky, but wasn’t! Machine itself looked good but only worked as multi-region DVD player. No instruction sheet for region changing or HDMI as mentioned in the item description.

Advertised as multi region with cable. Arrived with no cable and not multi region. Still a good blu ray player though. Just not what I thought it was going to be :)
