Sluban Passenger Plane Aviation Building Kit (463 Pieces)

This went together nicely and the instructions were clear. These aren't Legos but Sluban makes the best of the alternative Lego sets in my opinion, and I've tried 4 or 5 different brands. We have 30+ Lego sets so we are familiar with them. The fit, finish, and design are at about 95% of Lego quality, all things considered. Another nice thing about Sluban is the added variety of themes.

This product is amazing! It is just like legos and works with legos too. My son loved it and is just as happy with this set as he is with Legos. A great, great alternative if expensive Lego sets aren't in your budget.

My son begged for a lego plane for his birthday but I couldn't afford the $200 so I ordered this instead. It ships from Singapore so it did take a few weeks, but arrived undamaged. The box wasn't even dented.The plane was fairly easy to assemble following the instructions. There is a lot of detail. The set even comes with tiny dishes and tiny food, a serving cart like flight attendants have and flip down trays. The airport vehicles and little stairs were a big hit.I did take away a star because I had to reinforce the bottom of the plane with some other legos to make it sturdy enough to withstand some "Rough Landings" In doing this I found that this set IS COMPATIBLE with our other lego pieces.I have already ordered a few more Sluban Sets.

Easy to put together, stays together, good instructions and can't beat the price!

My son is 10 going 11. He loves building Lego airplanes and creates on his own, only getting better and better at designing his own vehicles and airplanes. But now we have almost all the airplanes from Lego, part from the collectibles, and he found this one on Amazon... We ordered it and had his Uncle in the US sending it to us here in Switzerland. No complaint on delivery. Quick and easy. And then what happened?My son found it on the mailbox coming home from school, called me in excitement asking if he could open it up. Of course, go ahead. He started building it. 3 hours later he is still building the airplane, telling me that the pieces are really hard to put together and that the instructions are hard to follow. With some frustration he continues and boom! One of the wheels breaks! Just like that when he is trying to put it in place. Broke in two. Do I need to tell you that it all ended up in tears and "I hate this airplane!"...???Things calmed down of course and the plane is built and it is pretty awesome after all. It was just smaller than expected in size and more tricky than Lego to assemble. It has its pros:- It is Lego compatible- It was cheap compared to Lego- Delivery was quick (to US - 2-3 days)- The doors of the airplane a really cool- The accessories for the plane are cool and different from what Lego has. A little bit like a Lego/PlayMobil mix...- It is a beautiful airplane when builtWill we buy Sluban building blocks again? NO.Why?- Because we have never managed to break a piece of Lego even though they been dropped, stepped on, crushed and forcefully put in place, but a Sluban building block broke. Just like that. With no special force at all. That shows quality is not as good as Lego.- Because characters and accessories look different from the rest- Because the engineering is different, more edgy and lacking softness.- Because it isn't Lego

It looks cool. Our 5 year old son was really excited about the aviation set. I am giving it 2 stars only because the instructions are NOT close to what LEGO provides. Also it is different in quality as opposed to Lego sets. Hard to attach pieces even for us adults. We spent the whole evening putting it all together because our son could NOT do it himself. We had a hard time too. When assembled it does NOT stay well together. Pieces are falling off and into the aircraft where you have to take it all apart to fix it. We have fire jet set by LEGO and it never happened with that set. I would not recommend buying this toy.

Overall, you're not gonna get this deal anywhere else. This set in LEGO would cost around 150 bucks but it is only 37 bucks (it's a crazy deal you're getting here). But what you pay is what you get. This set took me 2 days to build but I didn't finish everything. I don't expect to build the mini figures any time soon, it took me 15 minutes to stick the neck into the body and that was only half the minifigure, the other half won’t even fit. This is the reason why I gave 3 stars. Those two days were stressful. Once I put 1 price of the roof on, the other piece would pop out. I would then try to put both the pieces on when the wings would blast out the plane smashing the fuselage to the cabin. Ouch. The other reason it is 3 stars is because it isn't completely lego compatible. I was pretty exited to get those chairs for the passengers to sit in. Turns out, minifigures don't stay in the chairs. After having it for a few weeks it is now the best plane in my growing LEGO:Baltimore international airport. Overall, what you pay is what you get.
