Syma X5C Quadcopter 2.4G 4 Channel 6 Axis UFO 2 Mega Pixel Camera

The Syma X5C Quadcopter is an amazing machine!It is incredibly agile and very fast.II received this wonderful machine on 08/04/14 and have been flying itevery day since the arrival. Great machine !I have 6 different copters and this one is best of all of them.The video is crispy clear and you can read the manual instruction if youhold it up while flying the craft.The propellers are very sturdy and at the same time light weight.And props guards are added safety that protect them from crash.The only minus is the instruction manual was written in Chinese.I have written several e-mails to seller and Amazon without any responseto send me an English version of the instruction.If you are a Beginner, it will be tough and you have to findsomebody to translate Chinese to English to be able to knowthe function of the Transmitter.I cannot determine which of the buttons on the Transmitter will turn OFF LED lightson the copter to extend the life of the battery. The battery last for only about 4 to 5 minuteswith LED lights on.But overall, I rate the Syma X5C as EXCELLENT !Go ahead and buy one today, and you will not regret.But tell them you want English Manual Instruction or whatever your language is.

The media could not be loaded. First...this is the first quad I have ever flown.Let me first say that as a first time pilot this quad was very easy to fly and you get what you pay for I guess. With that said here are some pros and cons i would like to share after my first week of playing with..oh wait...first week of piloting the quad..lolLets get the cons out of the way since there are MANY1. Fly time is more like 5 minutes - I ordered more batteries- may be a mistake after all the issue with this quad after only a week2. Instructions are poorly written but you can understand them somewhat3. During first flight the cover on one of the lights fell off. no idea where it is and it is annoying to have a new item dropping parts off. this however does not affect the flying4. Battery charger (USB cable) has a lot to be desired. instructions says it will light ON when its charging and will light OFF when its done. In my case the light is red and it never gores off or changes location in the plug. There is no ON/OFF on the plug. Manual says about 75 minutes to charge. I have let mine charge for up to 2 hours and the light is always red and never goes off or changes colors.5. toward the end of battery life quad will just shut down and so i have to hurry and try to reset the transmitter and quad before the crashing to the ground ( i have uploaded a video showing this)6. Hard to determine quad direction on sunny day. ( I fixed this for me because I ordered spare parts thinking I will need these because i am a rookie...lol. Those spares were different colors so i put the red guard and propeller on the from of quad. really easy to tell front from back when in flight now.7. Little to no warning when batteries are going dead. I get around this by trying to keep closer to the ground when I feel I am getting to the end of the battery life.8. Not real happy with camera angle but it works and it is not bad for no more than what I paid. I also have taken 28 videos and 6 of those have been corrupt and would not open. Picuturse have been ok...once again quality is not the best but certainly not the worst.9. The quad after a week will not lift and does not have near the power it did on day one. Very disappointing and i will be contacting the seller on this.10. Getting this quad to trim out..hover without going one way ot the other was impossible. I tried the trim buttons on transmitter and had no luck, its like each new flight needs a new adjustment11. The Quad was getting very unstable in the air and was losing power over time to a point now it will not even lift off the ground.I liked this quad on the first few flights but after a week I am extremely disappointed in how much it has gone down hill in that short time.Why after a week it would have no power to lift itself and be so unsteady is troubling to me. I read everything from the board to worn gears to propellers on backwards. Well I know the propellers are not backwards...they never been changed. The gears are plastic to that may be it but the look ok? The board may be bad but if I have to replace a board or a motor after less than 2 hours of flight then there are huge issue with the machine. Well have to let you know what supplier has to say about it if anything.PROSVery easy quad to fly I was very pleased with how quick I was to catch onto flying this quad. But now that it won't fly kinda don't matter how easy it was to fly in the beginning..lolVery durable..the fact it has fallen out of the sky because of the battery died and is not damaged is proof of that. No parts have had to be replaced other than maybe those that should not need replaced after a couple hours of flight...maybe board and motors?Transmitter easy to use. Has a lot of little things to remember and at first I was gonna label things but after a few flights its becoming more natural and you just naturally react instead of looking and trying to think your way through.As much as I told people I loved this quad the first few flights I have to retract that and at this point could not recommend this quad.I have uploaded ( or am gonna try to) a video showing the quad shutting down and me trying to recover it. It will also give an idea as to how the video camera looks.

Easy to fly but a little light. When wind picks up it can't fight it very well. Don't fly near any trees. A0This copter is like velcro when it comes in contact due to the poor design of the prop protecters. Cut of the ends or you will be sorry. It's like they wanted it to get caught up.

Camera doesn't work, and seller is in CHINA so the return cost is prohibitive. Now I have to try and sell this to make my money back, which won't be easy with a broken camera.

What a great quadcopter!!This is the FIRST quad that I have ever own / flown. I'm glad I went with this one as opposed to a smaller indoor only one. The X5C-1 ended up being perfect for a beginner such as myself. It is very, very stable and easy to fly. Only took 1 or 2 flights in the back yard to get the hang of it. Video / pictures are actually pretty good! Here is a video I took in an attempt to get the quad out of range of the transmitter. https://youtu.be/R2ye3sIfjCUI would highly recommend this one for the beginner.1 of 2 issues I had was after about 2 months of flying my brother-in-law crashed pretty hard into the road and a motor went out. Bought a new motor, soldered it to the board and it worked perfectly again.2nd issue was that I charged up my 3 batteries to full capacity (1 came with the quad and I bought 2 more) and then the motor went out. I went about 10 days without using the batteries and now it appears they want bad. Only lasting 1-2 minutes. In hindsight, I think I should have drained them with the 3 good motors and stored them that way.All in all, a ton of fun with this quad!!

For the price and what it is, it is just ok. Seems to require tinkering to get the batteries to work and the included battery went bad after five flights. Even getting decent spare batteries is hit or miss.

The quadcopter arrived without landing skids so the camera was the first thing that it would land on. There was damage to one of the motor holder. Other than that the quadcopter seemed to work ok just needs some adjustment when in flight so it doesn't move to one side or another but using the trim levers should fix that. I am returning this one and ordering another one and hopefully the new one will arrive undamaged and with all the parts. I will update my review after I receive the new one.
