Nice closed top also keeps room looking straight and clean. Or keep top open works too. Or maybe after a number of/many years after top breaks use the top frame to still hold the trash bag. Seems solid but not extra solid. But for the price, I like, I like. And the top pops up when touched, smooth. But NOT for a very busy trash day or trash area. These are designed to open easily and maybe after many uses they might not stay closed. Just nice. I don't have kids. And mechanics will break because mom hated ones with a top 35 years ago and her trash can doesn't have a top. But for now I like how the top rises for an inexpensive model. Nice, well done. Got these because of the titanium accent matches my old waste baskets that didn't have tops. And as manufactures like to change things up with tops and without tops. For price try them maybe. And size is great for light weight office for my situation. And you use 8 gallon trash bags. But if you want to hold heavier trash maybe use cheap 13 gallon trash bags etc that will show over the sides under the lid that holds the trash bag in place. These bins are too big to use Walmart grocery used bags. go with 3 gallon bin for used grocery bag usage. And Amazon ships to house, a big cost. Thank You. And there is still cost that went into these with materials and design and product runs.

We use this size of garbage can A LOT at my work and we go through them. It is the springs on the lid that wear out but we use them for poop trash at a dog daycare so they get opened about 150 times a day, every day. And bumped into and sprayed with bleach etc. They last long enough to make me happy. They'd last years at a normal person's house. Price is great, size is great. The bucket itself never wears out. Thick plastic that really takes some abuse.

The item itself is great. Somehow the item was delivered to a neighbor, who took many days past to let me know, so I ended up returning and buying from another. But this seller was the better seller by far and I wanted to give a good rating.

Good product but the closing of the lids is a bit flemsey. I got them for a good price and it keeps the dog out of the trash.

I got these to sort recycling in my pantry. I’ve had zero problems so far; I drilled holes in the backs because the trash can liners were billowy, problem solved. I am happy with the lids; Ithey are sturdier than I thought they’d be and are holding up to daily use. Easy to clean too.

I bought these used. I was kinda scared of what I was going to get in a used trash can. They were clean when they arrived. I used one for trash. One for my rabbit supplies. Gave one to my daughter and use one in the bathroom. Perfect size. Def a must have. I may order more. They are perfect for holding pet foods. So many different uses for this product

Without the lids, these are just the standard sort of trash cans used in every office I've ever worked in. When the lids are closed, you must press the lever every time you want to throw anything away. They might work for storage, but there are probably better, sturdier, stackable solutions available. I bought them to keep my small puppy from foraging for candy wrappers and the like in my home office trash can. She quickly learned that knocking the whole can over gave her easier access to its contents. So, when I'm not sitting next to the can, I have to put it in the seat of my chair or on a table. Not sure I'm any better off.Okay, the bad news: one of the four lids I received would not stay closed, a problem others have noted. The good news: customer support from this seller, Spreetail, is awesome. I asked for a replacement lid; they sent me another set of four trash cans with lids. One of the lids in the new order also refused to close, but I now have more cans than I can use. [Aside: I contemplated ordering more before seeing how lightweight they are.]
