There Will Be Blood. (if you don't file the fret ends)
This Kmise black 22-Fret Neck was a little disappointing because of the way the fret ends were protruding. It seems like the fretboard edge was rounded over quite a bit before the frets were installed, such that they stick out. As mentioned by other reviewers, you've got to expect to do some work on these cheaper necks. But this was a little too much for me to be sure I could file the ends flush without chasing them back too far from the edge (because the binding is rounded over so much). I decided to return the neck rather than undertake it. It was damaged in shipping anyway (a large chip out of the finish on the peghead). The photos I'm posting here were taken with a digital microscope, and maybe it makes the protruding fret ends look scarier than they really are. I think you COULD file them flush, but you might end up with a lot of bevel on the fret ends.I will say the rosewood has a nice color and grain pattern. The neck wood IS maple (visible on this one due to that chip). I measured the radius (using a steel straightedge and feeler gauges), and it is exactly 12". The frets are .108" wide, .055" high.

I put this on an Epiphone les paul. I had wittle the body out a little but it came together nice. I occasionally build guitars and im not sure how they can sell these so cheap. No fret buzzing so a leveling wasn't necessary. Very pleased with this neck.

Buyer beware.
Frets weren’t level at all. The fret board was so dry that it was cracking. I was not expecting much when I ordered this and I am really glad I did not. After hours of dressing and polish of the frets it is semi decent. Do not get this neck.

Well worth the price.
So, I used this neck for a project guitar that I assembled from spare parts and a reshaped guitar body and I'm actually surprised at the quality, given the price. The neck and headstock have a thick finish and add a nice warmth to the tone of my guitar. Granted, the holes for the tuning machines needed resizing and the base of the neck had to be shaved down to fit the body joint. The playability is really smooth. The frets and fretboard look as good as they play in my opinion. The truss rod works well enough, just be sure to consider the scale length of your instrument before buying. I fitted this to an LTD that originally had a 24 fret neck, so the intonation is off maybe half a step.

Straight, good quality and great value
Great guitar neck. Had a small chip on the headstock from transportation, but overall straight, all good quality. The small chip wasn’t an issue for me as I was using it to put on a relic Les Paul Jr I was making. Sure the damage isn’t a manufacturer problem, and more the delivery.

Amendment to prior review.
I needed a neck for a Washburn WI14. I called Washburn and they said this guitar had a 24.75 scale neck and it turns out it had a 25.50 scale neck. This neck would have worked had it not been for Washburn's incorrect information. This neck was great for the money. Just didn't work for my guitar.
