Worth well more than the price!
Incredible amp for the money! Legendary Zapco sound quality, great build quality and flexible with built-in crossovers and high-level inputs (channels 1-4 only).According to Zapco the published specs on the ST-5XII are incorrect and the amp does 100 x 4 + 200 x 1 into 4 ohms, 150 x 4 + 300 x 1 into 2 ohms, or 300 x 2 into 4 ohms + 300 x 1 into 2 ohms.I have this running Morel Maximo components and a single Alpine Type R 12" sub - this amp does everything I need it to and sounds great playing everything from jazz to dubstep.

Good amp for the money.
Has been a really good amp so far. In general, any of the new amps just don't seem to have the build quality of the vintage amps. Zapco still makes nicer amps on up into the price range though.

Great amp but has over heating issues!
I have had this amp for 2 years now and it is definitely worth the price. It looks great is built well and has great SQ. This is am AB class amp soo some heat under heavy load is to be expected.I will admit that mine is in a big system so this is just a warning that this amps is not well suited to large high volume buildsI am running:4 6.5s4 horns4 supper tweets on minethe amp can only play at high volume for about 25 mins before going into thermal protect. If you get this amp do 1 speaker per channel.

4 ch speakers + sub = perfect car audio set up
Nice amp. Relatively new to modern audio, product of the 90's alpine/ kenwood/ us amp, etc.. generation, fast forward 15 years and another attempt at good sounding music this time. Went thru mb quart amp, Polk, alpine and finally Zapco 5 ch to consolidate (2)Jl audio c2 component sets and 12” morel sub. This amp fits the demand. Gets little hot, ab class do that, but hasn't let me down yet, since 2017! Even had in go into protect mode half dozen times, only to fire back once it cooled down. My fault for not having it ventilated enough, so it got too hot and protected itself.

Great amp
After one year of ownership:For reference, I'm using this amp to power my entire system: 4X100@4oms + 1X200@4ohms (JL Audio C2-650 components and 10W0v3).First, let me be clear, it's still a five star amp, hands-down! The build quality is top notch, it plays loud, and clear, and never skips a beat.I don't think you can find a better 5-channel amp for $300.That said, after a year of ownership I do find myself wishing it offered a little more, mainly on the 5th channel... the sub.First, I'd love a little more power, and think 300W @ 4ohm would match-up better with the 4X100w @ 4ohm.Second, a BASS knob would be nice. I often find I'd like to adjust the BASS a little, and my only option is via my HU EQ, but that's several distracting button presses, for a temporary adjustment.Last, a subsonic filter would finish it off nicely. While this is a great amp, if I was going to buy another today, I'd opt for the Zapco ST-6X-SQ (or DSP model). It offers a little more power and flexibility as it can be used as a 3, 5 or 6 channel amp. It can be configured as 6X100W @ 4ohms, 6X150W @ 2 ohms, 3X300W @ 4 ohms, or 4X100W + 1X300W @ 4ohms. It also adds a band-pass crossover (channels 3-4), and has a remote port, so I'm assuming you can add a BASS knob when using channels 5-6 bridged as a mono block, but I'm not positive on that.Original review:I bought this amp without knowing much about the brand, but it came recommended and was in my budget so I pulled the trigger. It can take up a little space so check the dimensions and make sure you have room for it as it may not fit under a seat. I installed on the back wall of my crew cab pickup, behind the back seat.It has a lot of great features... it can accept line level inputs or speaker level inputs so no need for a LOC, if you're using your factory HU. You can also use a single pair of RCA inputs and output to all 4 speaker channels (left/right/front/rear). RMS ratings are 100X4 + 200X1 @ 4 ohms, or 150X4 + 300X1 @ 2 ohms, or bridged @ 300X2 + 300X1 at 4 ohms. It has a +6db and +12db bass boost. It sounds crystal clear and has never skipped a beat.

... because a friend told me Zapco used to be amazing but wasn’t sure how good they are now
I bought this amp for a boat application because a friend told me Zapco used to be amazing but wasn’t sure how good they are now. Took a gamble and blew my mind. The stereo absolutely screams and is crystal clear. I constantly receive compliments and occasional sound complaints. Very very good!
