Kingston 2GB kit KVR400X64C3AK2/2G DDR400 PC3200
Pros: Works excellently, as expected.Cons: Received 2 modules of Kingston KTD8300Other Thoughts: I ordered the afore mentioned kit which shipped from A-Tech Components and instead received 2 new factory sealed modules of Kingston KTD8300 which, if you Google them, are spec'd for Dell computers! Initially this was problematic as, all other specs being equal, they are spec'd at 2.6volts while my original KVR400X64C3AK2/2G modules are spec'd at 2.5volts...or, at least they were. Upon researching both parts through Kingston's web site I found that BOTH part numbers are now spec'd at 2.6volts. And, it appears the original DDR spec was for called for 2.6volts, but manufacturers went with stating memory as 2.5volt for some reason..?As a test, I installed 1 stick of the KTD8300 ram and booted with no problem, so I installed the other new stick and in the BIOS observed the same Speed and Timings as my old modules. I then opened a bunch of programs and played a DVD and experienced no glitches, blinks, crashes or problems of any kind. So, I reinstalled/added my original 2 sticks and everything is humming along fabulously!I wasn't happy that A-Tech Components substituted these modules with No Explanation, No Note in the package Acknowledging that the part number wasn't what I ordered, but that they were, in fact, interchangeable. I was going to return them but spent a couple hours researching them just to see if A-Tech was trying to foist something on me, or what. Before ordering I read that a couple reviewers had received the KTD8300's and quickly returned them because of the voltage being wrong, this concerned me as, I didn't want to have to do an RMA. However, I thought that that was a fluke and that "I" would receive the correct part, so I ordered them anyway!Well, it cost me a couple hours, but I'm happy with this purchase. A-Tech Components, a NOTE would've gone a long way and saved me some time and anguish.Again, these 2 part numbers, KVR400X64C3A and KTD8300 are Exactly The Same. They have the SAME Voltage, Latency and Density specs and are interchangeable.

Works great, plug and play, quick shipping
I have a Dell Dimension 2400 and it had (dare I admit it?) only 256 MB of RAM. When I bought it a couple of years ago, the speed seemed great; but it began to seem sluggish compared to my "work" computers. When I realized how little RAM I had, I went looking for a RAM upgrade. By using a large commercial search engine whose name begins with "G," I found out what types would fit my computer with 2 clicks (including the one on "G" telling it to "go.")I had never done anything "under the hood" of a computer before (even though I am an engineer -- mechanical type!). Putting in the memory board was a snap. When I plugged the computer back in and started it up, no action was required -- it just recognized and began using the additional RAM. The difference in speed was immediate and dramatic. Programs run much faster, it's very noticeable. No problem with shipping. Shipped from Amazon, came quickly, no damage.I couldn't be happier with this product.[Update on 2-Sep-2009:] I just bought a second one of these memory boards to fill the second memory slot on my computer (the previous board was 256MB.) It also works perfectly. The difference in speed is not as dramatic as the first one (258MB to 1.25GB) but it's noticeably faster. Great product.

Good product...crappy shipping from Amazon
I've been using this memory in my Dell desktop for a couple weeks now and all seems to be working well. Programs load faster and I am able to have more applications open at the same time. I am not sure if this has happened to other buyers, but the shipping of the product by Amazon was very poor. They boxed the memory into a very large box and threw a couple air pillows into the package. When I got the package, the box was scrunched, and both memory sticks were out of their small memory package and just bouncing around inside the box. So much for the electro-static protection. I was not happy. They need to re-train their shipping staff. Would have been safer to just mail it to me in a darn envelope....

OMG!
This purchase was long overdue. My computer was running slow but it wasn't so bad that it bothered me much. Then I installed Office 2007... That was a big whack on memory usage, and it brought my computer to it's knees. Add to that the 3 IP security cameras, big honking digital images, iPod, and everything else we expect from our computers, and I was sitting staring at a cursor for minutes at a time.I bought 4 1-GB cards. They came in two days. I cracked open my computer, snapped out the measley 512MB (two cards) and snapped in these four bad-boys.No kidding, I closed the box, reconnected the power cord and booted it. The only thing that was different was the quick message that I had 4GB of memory, and the machine was up and running many times faster than before.Where my hard drive used to sound like a washing machine (and take about as long as a large load) now it's mostly silent and my computer screams by comparision to before. I should have done this years ago!Great Price - Easy Upgrade - Painless!
