Best Binoculars Owned Yet
Impressions:Great optics for the price. Amazing Deal. Very clear. Vortex optics is fantastic. Wouldn't buy anything else.Pros:-Extremely clear optics. You may find other optics with the same or better specs for a better price, but it doesn't mean they are as good as these. The glass is extremely clear at multiple times of day.-Great grip on the exterior makes them easy to handle.-Easily track targets. I formerly used a monocular instead of binoculars and often find myself missing being able to spot birds and such, but two large lenses make it a snap.-Vortex has a lifetime warranty on all their products and they mean it! Break your binoculars up to 6 times for any reason and you get a new pair. No questions asked. You cannot beat that!-Very rugged. Don't feel cheap at all.Cons:-Somewhat expensive, but it's not a con really, it is just a factor of the high quality item. Buy these if you need an all purpose pair of binoculars.

Recommended by a friend -- and I'm quite happy
I have two cheap pair of binoculars, plus a lovely self-stablizing pair of Canon binoculars. The Canon is fabulous, but fairly low magnification, and because of the electronics, I don't want to leave it in the car exposed to heat and cold. A friend recommended the Vortex Diamonback, and it is a winner. The Diamonback is heavier than my previous, cheaper pairs, has better magnification, better focusing, better clarity -- they are simply better in every respect. They are also robustly made, and easily handled with gloves. Outstanding binoculars, and I thanked my friend for her recommendation.

Vortex Diamondback 10X50 Binocular
I have own several of the budget grade binoculars and have done my research, testing different models in stores, before purchasing this set. For the price these are a good choice. Clean focus when tested at less than 6 feet and again at 1/4 mile distances. Focus rotation is a little stiff but not hard to adjust focus. Protective lens cups are easy to use and the objective lens cups hang onto the unit so they are there where I will remember to use them. The included accessories, makes this a nice package deal. The orange floatation strap is a wrist strap not a neck strap (as I was hopping). Still a floatation attached will help should I screw up and it goes overboard. The cross back harness is a real relief for the neck during extended walks, bird watching, game hunt searching.I am very pleased with my purchase

Good glasses - but used.
I purchased these as new. They were clearly used. Straps were in place. Cups were in place. No protective plastic or dehumidifier. Glasses and case are scuffed.Other than that, these are great glasses. Bright, easy to use, feel substantial in your hands.

Great Quality
I had been wanting some nice binoculars (something nicer than the $20 pair from Wal Mart) for a long time, and finally found a review for these. I absolutely love these binoculars. Some reviews stated they were heavy; they are rugged, but I did not find them unnecessarily heavy. The view is crystal clear, and because of their high magnification, they are a little bit difficult to hold steady when viewing distant objects. When I was shopping around, my choice came down to between these and one other pair of a different brand name, and I chose these because of the Vortex VIP Warranty. Their statement is "in the event your Diamondback binocular becomes damaged or defective, Vortex optics will repair or replace the binocular at no charge to you". I was sold by their unconditional warranty, as the other pair only had a year of coverage. The one downfall I have found with these binoculars is adjusting the diopter into focus, but it only happens sometimes, so I actually think it is my eyesight vs. the mechanism. These binoculars are good quality and I would buy another pair in the event I had to do it all over again.

Pretty good, so far
Relatively lightweight for a 10x50. Rubber-coated. Adjustable eyepieces for those who wear glasses. Lens covers you can't lose. Pretty good, so far. The real difference between the Vortex and other binoculars (except the $1000.00+ glasses) is their light-gathering properties. The lens coatings admit more light than most binoculars. There is a noticeable difference if you A/B them with just about any other binocular. The light is brighter. It is especially obvious at dusk. Images are clear to the edges. Add all this together plus a lifetime warranty and you have a great binocular. I already had I pair. I got this one for my wife.
