If you want to take little videos with your cellphone, do that. This is serious gear and part of a SYSTEM. As such, you BUY the software, camera, etc. Don't trash this lens because you don't know what you're doing. LEARN!

- Buy $1700+ hardware, and cannot use it without subscription to some software- Also need to buy an adapter just shoot now which is not included $5000 camera body (R5c)- Said software sucks and doesn't really work well- Instructions manuals effectively doesn't existIn all of these they cannot even bother to print a put a proper manual into the lenses or camera. STAY AWAY from Canon's anti-consumer approach to this, don't encourage them!Google / Youtube before invest, because workflow for this lens doesn't really work well unless you are already expert in VR filming.

The video turns out totally usable. From that perspective I'd recommend this product. I have found that sometimes, while recording, it will decide to stop or delete the recording or something like that without it being super obvious what happened. I encourage maybe more investment in integrating with a smartphone app?

How they managed to have two lenses this sharp at this price is beyond me, but thank you for the innovation!
