Yes it does. I have 5 different batteries attached to this unit.

Q: Can i charge the battery with this via obdii? includes a cable or is needed to buy one? if yes what cable?

Q: I see the connection for the temperature sensor, but is there actually a sensor included in this set?

A temperature sensor is a thermocouple that measures the temperature. There is no such device in the set. Look at the illustration. There is a cable set with clips and a cable set with rings but no cable set with a thermocouple. It reads ambient temperature but not battery temperature. Not a problem though, the battery charges fairly slowly so there is no significant heat buildup. 12 volts @ 8 amps is only 96 watts. Not like a big, commercial battery charger at 75 or 100 or 200 amps that heats up the battery dangerously.
