Q: My actual door size is 36"x81. What size should I get?

Get the one that is longer than 81. You can always fold over the excess.

Q: does this screen have a tension road????///

No tension rod! Very strong industrial style Velcro on the edges and fantastic magnets in the center. The best I’ve ever bought!

Q: Can it be adjusted to be a tad smaller. (Our French doors are 2 - 32" instead of 36"). Is is possible to sew a pleat into each side to reduce it?

It has a little lace flap along the top which may make hard to pleat. though actually you could stitch the gap close and let it stick out if it won't lay flat. also it can be extended beyond the actual door opening. for instance your door may be 36" wide, but the trim around the out side maybe another 4". In that case you extend each side a little passed the door. This is the best cover I have ever used, I have regular doors. I love it though.
