1,000 Uses-- Everything But Eggs!
Because of throat radiation and chemo, soft boiled eggs are one of the few things I can eat anymore, and wow do I make a ritual of it! First, I cook the eggs in the wonderful KRUPS F23070 Egg Cooker with water level indicator, White-- I know, you Europeans think we Americans are nuts with our gadgets, but believe me, this makes 'em PERFECT, even though I'm on a budget, this is one of the few amenities that are awesome in this recipe. Next, I crack the top of the egg with one of the two best crackers (one gravity and one spring, respectively): Apollo® Egg Shell Cracker, Cutter, and Topper - Premium Tool for Removing Top of Soft-or Hard Boiled Eggs - Stainless Steel Design & Swissmar Egg Cracker. Finally, I serve the egg(s) to myself and family in the beautiful and colorful Le Creuset Stoneware Egg Cup, 2-Inch, Caribbean. The next step? These RSVP White Porcelain Egg Spoons? Nope. The spoons that actually WORK for eggs are here: Endurance Egg Spoons Stainless Steel Set of 4. They are as long as the RSVP's, but have a sharper (rather than rounded) lip, making it easy to "cut" to the shell when removing the soft boiled egg. If you have a taste problem with stainless (I'm sympathetic even though they burned my taste buds away and I drink my coffee out of a stainless mug!) I'd suggest you use these RSVPS for the yolk, then finish with the Endurance's if you want the rest of the white clinging to the shell.Even though I prefer the Endurance for soft boiled eggs, I'd give these RSVP's 10 stars if I could! They are sturdy, easy to clean, very LONG, and make PERFECT spoons for sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, stirring, tiny amounts of high intensity stevia, espresso, and countless other uses. They are beautiful, a great bargain, and I use them for many more things than their stainless sisters, which are reserved for the soft boiled egg removal!Highly recommended, just not as much for eggs as the numerous other things I do with them, enjoy!

Perfect size, handle with care
These are just the perfect size for soft boiled eggs. The spoon does a good job of scooping out the egg without crunching the shell along the way. The porcelain means this is a more delicate spoon than most, and I like that it has a high-quality look and feel. But do handle them with care when placing these spoons in a dishwasher. They feel like they could chip or break fairly easily. These are elegant little utensils that are effective for what they were designed to do and add just a touch of class.

A simple spoon, a simple cup, an egg
Just perfect for a meditative morning. No instruction manual needed, and none needed. These spoons work like they look -- little end in your hand; big end in the egg and then into your mouth. Being porcelain, there's no added taste ... and no sharp edge ... of a metal spoon. Granted, though, the taste, shape and feel of a metal spoon may be such a long-present element of one's breakfast tradition that using a porcelain spoon could take some getting used to. It's certainly worth the effort to try this change in ritual. Just be a little careful when spilling the dishes into the sink or dishwasher -- that's really where the breakage risk lives, not in storage, presentation or use. Serving for guests, many have found these novel -- no complaints, lots of compliments (mostly along the lines of "oh, my, so cute, where did you get these?"). Summarizing: many good feelings, a very small price.

Great egg spoons
These spoons work perfectly for spooning out the white and yolk of a soft boiled egg. The spoon leading edge is sharp enough to separate the egg white from the shell, but not so sharp to cut your lip. The spoon feels natural in your mouth without any strange edge normally felt when a metal spoon has too sharp an edge. The spoons clean up easily and appear well made. The plain bone white color should fit in nicely with any egg cup color or pattern you may choose.Highly recommended.

Great spoons with excellent versatility.
I am surprised at how much the whole family loves these little spoons. While I bought them for the intended use (eating soft boiled eggs), we've found them perfect for eating yogurts and for using as stylish stir spoons for glass coffee cups. I could also see them being used to eat rich desserts like ganache or custard. We've found the spoons durable so far, as they always go through the normal dishwasher cycle with no problem. We'll be buying more of them.

Great product.
I was surprised the front tip of the spoon is not any thinner for cutting into the egg with the spoon, but they work just fine and my husband loves them which was the whole reason for buying them. He heard about using porcelain spoons with hard boiled eggs from Martha Stewart (only by coincidence, not a fan). She stated that using metal spoons with hard boiled eggs changes the taste of the egg. Guess what, she's right. My husband is a "super-taster" and swears the eggs really do taste different than when using a metal spoon. For some reason the metal spoons actually react with something in the egg, giving it a sulfer-metal taste. I agree with him, and now enjoy the real taste of hard boiled eggs. Give these a try. Being porcelain, I don't expect them to last forever, but they have held up fine so far.
