A dream come true for my inner child
This is an absolutely incredible figure. This whole line of MonsterArts figures has been a dream come true for me. Ever since I was a little boy I had a hero worship for Godzilla that only grew when I learned that someone gets paid well to put on a rubber Godzilla suit and destroy model cities. I have been collecting the big guys toys for a long time and have always dreamed of having articulated well sculpted toys. Mechagodzilla type 3 really showcases the mastery of Bandai's toy makers. While only on the 6" scale the detail present would have you believe it is twice as big. There is also plenty of fan service as the mouth opens revealing his beam weapons, his thigh ports open revealing articulated thrusters, the chest opens to expose the absolute zero system and the eyes are even interchangeable between classic gold and pissed off red. Further, because of how many points of articulation there are not only is he easily posed but there doesn't seem to be any point where the figure seems to be "cut" at a point of articulation. As you move the head to the side each segment of the neck moves slightly to give the figure a nice flow just as it would be in the movies. As you pose the waist again each segment moves slightly giving the piece a more realistic look. The quality of the figure is also superb. The toy feels incredibly sturdy. Nothing feels brittle or weak and the feet are die cast weighting the figure nicely and making it easy to pose keep standing. The paint is excellently applied and the plating actually has a true metallic look to it. If I had to complain (and I would rather not) I would say that I can only find 2 faults. The first is the middle plate on the toy's back. This plate covers his waist and instead of being attached to anything it is free floating. When first handling the toy it has the appearance of being a defect or broken but it became quickly clear that it is just part of the design. This can sometimes make handling the toy a little inconvenient when the rest of the toy is so sturdy. The second is the last few sections on the tail. The last 6 sections or so on the tail are actually one piece of rubber rather than articulated segments like the rest of the toy. It is molded well and not apparent by sight but easily discovered while posing. This is only a minor nuisance and really doesn't detract from the figure at all but may make you rethink how to pose the tail when the last 1/4th of the tail will remain strait.

Really nice figure
MFS-3 3式機龍 (Multi-purpose Fighting System-3 Kiryu – Millennium era Mechagodzilla). This figure comes only with exchangeable heads (to change the colors of it’s eyes during construction and when it goes rogue as seen in the 2002 movie, Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla (ゴジラ×メカゴジラ). That said, it does come with the wrist blade, wrist units, and also the back unit.I would have liked this figure a bit more IF it came with some sort of blast, since the chest area opens up to reveal the Absolute Zero Canon. Other than that, this is an excellent figure – lots of articulation and it feels very solid and heavy. They have have the flight rockets in the back and in the compartments in the thighs. All of the joints are snug and the overall finish looks really nice. I like the Kiryu Mechagodzilla character better than the ones from either the Showa or Heisei eras. It’s actually slightly taller than the 1994 Godzilla figure so it’s about 6.5 inches (170mm) tall. There are a couple of plastic/ rubber cables along the side of the neck and the hips – there’s a notice (in Japanese) that says if they come loose, carefully tuck them back in, but be careful not to break them off.

Worth Every Penny!
Not sure why my review was removed. So im posting again for the second time. I’ll try to make it short. This figure is really cool, articulation is great in the arms/legs/head ect. It feels solid and nothing is loose. This is one bad to the bone figure to own. If your not a fan of the newer Mechagodzilla, i recommend getting the classic kiryu! It really is worth every last penny. I gave this as birthday gift and tbh im so jealous. I may have to get another one for myself! Love kiryu!

Absolutely fantastic!
Simply Wonderful. The perfect rendition of the Mechagodzilla 3 "Kiryu MFS-3" from Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla. And one of Bandai's finest figures in any line. The articulation is fantastic. The paint is stunning. You feel like a studio shooting model of Kiryu is there on your desk. This version is the original release and it is harder to find in the US as it was never formally released in North America. hence its price. If you are looking for a cheaper version of Kiryu I suggest looking at the SH Monsterarts MFS-3 "Heavy Arms High Mobility" which is a modified repaint of this figure. This figure represents the Kiryu when he rolled out the door new, shiny paint, unscarred, and with all nice bright factory original equipment. The High Mobility version is the darker more weathered paint scheme From Tokyo SOS, after it had seen combat and been rebuilt, repaired and re-armed.This version has the Absolute Zero Cannon in its chest (as opposed to the HM's Hypermaser) accessories include the original blue jetpack/missile platform, wrist lasers and blades, and two swapable headpieces. One representing the red eyed Kiryu Berserk mode. (I'm not sure on why it has 2 yellow eyed headpieces.)For Comparison the High Mobility Heavy Arms comes with a replacement damaged head, and the second movie gunmetal grey flight pack/weapons pack with matching wrist guns. The head parts are swapable between versions. The original shiny silver Kiryu can take either backpack, although the second gen Kiryu can only take the one that comes with him.

One of the greatest action figures of all time
Top notch quality! This is my first figure from this series, as well as my favorite kaiju of all time! The amount of detail is truly amazing, it looks exactly like the movie version! The tail is the most impressive part, being able to move in just about any direction, while being sturdy. The box didnt come with much protection but luckily the figure was in perfect shape. Truly impressive! This figure is a must buy for any kaiju fan!
