If you're rocking these nice, functional and duty made panniers to look good
It is three pieces of nylon per case, one of them has two looped ends and a rubber handle.Could you do it with rope? Yup.Could you likely find a cheaper solution. Yup.Did I? Nah.I'll address that in other reviews there are complaints of the handles scratching the surface of the boxes, I don't have that problem as after several falls and drops on gravel I decided to stickerbomb the surface of the panniers to hide some of the scars caused by my lack of ability (picture attached). I can't say if the straps damage the surface of the panniers as in my case I managed to idiot savant my way into a protective layer, but the complaints are valid as the straps have worn away some of the graphics of the stickers around the metal loop points. If you're rocking these nice, functional and duty made panniers to look good, I'd avoid the straps. If you're like me an riding a dual sport bike that you're going to kick around and drop on occasion, you'll be alright, buy em.

Go Buy Metal Handles At Hardware Store For 1000% Better Solution Than This Product!!
If I could do zero stars I would. These straps are terrible and will scratch the crap out of your Tusk panniers. In addition, if you buy anything from this company and even if it brand new, if you return it they charge a 20% "restocking fee" and you have to pay for return shipping even when the item is garbage and defective. So go to the hardware store and buy two nice metal handles (like for a gate) and then put them on top of your boxes with solid mounting hardware. It will be a 1000% improvement over these items. You will be able to then not have totally scratched up boxes and you can carry your boxes and not have them slide off to one side and bang your legs as you carry them. Order from Revzilla if you want awesome customer service and hassle free refunds. This company makes it a total pain in the arse to do business with them. Never again.

Just like advertised
I purchased the medium boxes/carrying straps and pannier rack system for my 2017 Honda 650xrl. I am pleased with it all. The ability to lock the boxes onto the racks and then remove with the pull of a cable is very convenient. The locks are high quality and keys easy to use. So far, the boxes have been waterproof. The seals are thick and the lids close tight. I have the black ones and I think they look good on the bike. Another plus is the ability to strap items over the top of the rack and boxes.I've used mine to carry firearms/case, livetraps, breakdown fishing rods and sometimes a small cooler.

These will quickly mar the Tusk pannier lids
While these do work as handles, they of course vibrate with the wind. The nylon webbing rubs and mars the powdercoat on the lids of the Tusk panniers. The lids now look terrible, after only a 45 minute ride. These are fine for carrying the panniers around, but don't leave them permanently attached.

At Least the Work
The Tusk Straps are (much like the boxes) seriously ugly and do flop around in the wind and do work like sandpaper on the top of your box in the process. The saving grace is the fact that they work and they're easy enough to take on and off. They have no cool factor other than function.
